Hey there! i had a big brainstorm with the upcoming BWL raid.
And as a guild i was thinking abit about the pre quest scenario.
So the Scarshield Quatermaster drops the item called Blackhands command.
my disaster scenario is that it will be available the same time as the BWL is “enterable”
i can see a problem with that due to the faction statistics on servers, when the npc has a high respawn time and the dominating faction aint going to make it possible for the minority faction to finish the pre quest, but instead has to enter threw UBRS portal to BWL.
so my question is simply, will the prequest scenario be released in advance to the BWL raid content for ppl to have a fair chanse to compeat with horde / ally Guilds on the server first race that will be coming , belive me !

Don’t worry too much OP, either the factions come to a gentleman agreement or just find some time windows when you can, it’s not going to be smooth but it’ll be doable.
If you think alliance will wait for you to get done then you’re wrong. Everyone will show up and the server lag will be so big you cant enter BRM without disconnecting. Its gonna be a glorious event stretching for weeks and the forums will be raging from both sides
you guys don’t know how blizzard secretly doing things!!!
Blizzard will surly make the drop rate insanely high for the first 14 hours patch is released, so core players loot it after killing 1-2mobs only, and raid in 1st day of patch! THEN on 00:00 Drop will be back to normal! where you might kill 20mob without finding that item. 'this is what blizz been doing since 1st expansion.
so don’t worry much! you won’t find horde camping those mobs outside BWL at the teleportation Crystal because tons of people will get it on the 1st day.
the letter drop rate was 15% in patch 1.8 then blizz buffed it with patch 1.12 to 50%.
however the Quest item could drop even if you’re in raid group! and it was originally loot-able by 1person but that was changed later so everyone in your party/raid will be able to loot the letter if it dropped.
AQ gates isn’t faction based, it’s server wide!
so it will be ok for the alliance on 90%Horde servers, cus gates will be unlocked to the whole server when the horde give the supplies.
regarding BWL, i forgot that this is patch 1.13 already, the drop is 55% chance and 40man will be able to loot the item if it dropped.
How does the openkng of gates work exaclty? Isnt it just somebody on both sides supposed to turn in a lot of supplies? Cant horde just trade over these supplies using neutral ah in booty bay?
On Flamelash there are some people already rolling alliance chars especially to do that part. So players from horde are ending up doing all the heavy lifting for both factions.
The gates will eventually open automatically after a set period anyway but my prediction is that every other server will have AQ on farm by the time Flamelash gets their gates open.

yes, it’s possible to do it in a raidgroup.
our ubrs raid killed the quartermaster before entering the spire and all of us could loot the item that started the quest.
Ofc they are not gonna give u handicap advantage.
