no thanks because they didnt care about factionbalance in retail nor will they here so i really hope there wont be xfers ever or we will have 90/10 servers fast
If they wouldnât mess up nothing, no extra profit. Transfers will be bread and butter for them.
No, that would be Fallout 76. Even a year on itâs still broken. And Bethesda didnât even try to grab the appropriate domain names for the launch of their subscription service, which led to this.
Just reading the title like 3 titles popped in my head which are way way worse so
Server numbers at launch
You arent really mentioning the issue, youre Just stating that there are issues without describing them, as such people can only guess as to what problem is being experienced, queues? Competition? No one knows because you dont state
A/H Ratio
Are you unironically trying to blame Blizzard for where people made their Toons and on what faction?
Stop being silly, this is the result of player choice, not Blizzard intervention
The only thing you can blame on them, was them having underestimated the interest in it severely to the point where you cant say it was them being careful not to spread the population to thin
They may not have been able to poll or estimate properly but maybe its a bit of pride as well, that they didnât think it would do better then retail
Itâs true that the OP doesnât really describe why the number of launch servers is an issue still. Doesnât mean that it isnât though.
Players clearly did just as everyone experienced with MMOs would predict: They stacked the initial servers and refused to move. The reason why player distribution is so poor that the servers that still have huge queues are all among those few launch servers is not coincidence. Itâs a problem of Blizzards own making and it is incredibly difficult to fix after the launch is done with.
Last I checked that still was Vanilla
I had no issue with the launch.
no thanks because they didnt care about factionbalance in retail nor will they here so i really hope there wont be xfers ever or we will have 90/10 servers fast
Bless the freedom of choice.
Yes, and so is naxx but itâs not in yet
You sure Naxx isnât in yet? Didnât knowâŚ
Worst ?
Haha you obviously where not there at the Launch of Anarchy OnlineâŚ
Itâs easy to tell in these threads who actually played Vanilla
The launch of Classic, while plagued with problems, was 100x times better than the launch of Vanilla in Europe here in 2005
So salty.
This is the greatest thing since my last son was born. Classic is enjoyed by 99% of the playerbase, you make of it what youâd like, just like life. Cheer up and reroll to some other server if they bully you over there.
Launch was fine, some queues, but there was like 1-3 servers w/o waiting time the whole first week so the game was not crowded, just that everyone already had decided on a realm to play on. Blizzard could not know this would be bigger than bfa
Youâre talking in circles, THE PROBLEM with THE LAUNCH was server instability, thats it. Period.
The way Blizzard handled Classicâs population and popularity was flawed from the start of preregistration, and still is. This has created problems that are still present in the game, and will continue to be for a long time.
Stability has been excellent, and complaints there would be nitpicking.
some servers have a 70/30 horde to ally ratio
Totally Blizzards fault.
anything is possible to do, a faction cap to the servers with some tweeks would have fixed this problem, or many other options, instead we went in blind. blizzard is just after a quick buck, they do not care about user experience.
my post is clearly addressing how the launch was handled
Oh yeah, how did we not realize that? It would only be natural for people to complain about something that happened 2 months ago and has been fixed. Go do something productive if your boars, donât give these forums yet another dumb thread.
I play on shazzrah. I dont have any issues with the game. I was smart enough not to transfer to a ghost town server.
Everything is fine.
I disagree.
Diablo 3 launch was way worse.
Back then i couldnât log into diablo 3 for multiple days after the launch. The classic servers seems pretty stable and I have had no lag issues ever since i started playing on them.
Layering also seem to be working, so I canât imagine how someone can say that low population means Blizzard has failed the launch when the servers are perfectly playable.
So all you are complaining about is transferring to a server with a (in your opinion) bad faction balance? Is it so bad that you cannot find any people to group with? It seems like your only problem is you want to play on another server, and not actually launch problems.
