It’s pathetic that landing a full CC allows a hybrid some incredible breathing room to hard cast 2 healing spells that cost like 30% mana (if not more) and heals for… 8% hp each, which will be easily undone and overkilled by 1 damage GCD
At this rate, most hybrids should get a 200% buff to their healing spells in PvP
This is making the game shallow if hard casting hybrid heals is the bad play in 99% situations, moreover this makes hp% self-heal of many classes much stronger than classes with healing spells = cringe
These game designers should get a clue and balance hybrid healing instead of tunnel-visionning on constantly buffing damage dealers’ dps and healers’ hps with inflated and still constantly inflating health pools (totally for M+/raid reasons)
Maybe this garbage will be magically fixed when they shrink item levels in Midnight and we go back to 5k health characters (IF they decide to listen to healers M+ complaints and stop inflating health pools)
The (lack of) balancing of healers’ dps is also wild but that’s a topic for another day
i miss the days when my flash heal actually did something on my sp, now it dosent anymore, and my MD got nerfed to 2 minutes cd randomly cuz of m+ i hate it. u can nerf damage / defenesives but broo the utility if its nerfed its never coming back
Meanwhile sanct is lower cd, instant and give an extra buff for the next incoming cc.
Flash heal is useless beside getting the passive wall.
I think they hard nerf hybrid healing since shadow Land (since sl you can’t play 2v2 double dps cause of it) Meanwhile war/hunter for example do as muh self heal than hybrids… Logic xD
it will because these devs are complete potat, with midnight hybrid heal will be back to sl level, (if they do a squisch) because they simple dont do core balance changes on classes in PvP
i feel like 2v2 died since they nerfed hybrid healing in sl, past s3 specifically, i could play any comp on my sp in 2s , sp/feral/ sp/boomie and have fun, … and on my boomie i can q with mages rogue and heal descently in 2s… saw some ww/ret too in 2s but yeah idk feels like they really dont care much because hybrid healing does basically nothing
They nerfed warlock drain life also to this button that just does nothing, for heals the healthstone now takes equal amount talents than old drain life but I would rather have that drain to do something than just being there for the roleplayers as cosmetic spell
Swiftmend got removed from Ferals
And Regrowth got nerfed even more since we lost the talent that was buffing it.
In numbers:
Regrowth heals for 320k ~ with 25 % increased healing on you and 40% crit chance when its casted on an ally and 10-12% while casted on yourself.
People got health pools of 11mil.
At the same time they also nerfed the healing of Frenzied Regeneration from 32% to 20%.
The gap also increases when we add to the fact that most hybrids do not have immunities in context of this that Rated content directly reduces your healing via Dampening, making classes who can immune put on naturally higher effectiveness.
It also feels uncanny because i almost never press Regrowth in arenas.
casted stuff overall should be stronger than instant, but it rarely is… instant cast do more dmg and more healings all the time… frostbolt does less dmg than icelance, arcane blast does less damage than barrage, and so on
when i play on my disc priest (orable) i have the feeling its the same, some of my 30-45 sec cds instant casts heals for millions but myu flash heals and other things don’t rly do much even as filler they feel likem they are not worth to cast… just applyu atonement, try to deal dmg, hit the instant cast (mending, radiance, evangelism and so on) casting actual heals feels useless
It’s the unfortune consequence of the new DF talent trees. Base abilities do nothing now unless you’ve got a bunch of talents buffing them up.
Hence why 2v2 double dps is dead, hybrid healing is real bad, especially in TWW with the hero talents on top of the regular trees. Real shame for the 2s bracket.
thats because the game does not work like that anymore if you buffed casted stuff to do more damage then it just promotes sitting back 40 yards and spam casting it there is too much mobility in the game on some classes for it ever to come back.
You cant sit back 40 yards range and spam arcane blast and expect it to hit 2-3 million a hit because the meta would be just that use your mobility to get as far away from damage as possible and PVE single target untill the target dies.
the instant casts are doing reasonable damage tho a 1m ice lance on a 11-13m hp pool is ok so are you going to nerf the instant casts? they would be useless if you nerf them.
yeah roots are a higher value because of regrowth being so Dogwater
hope they bring a hp/ilvl squisch, in the next xpac because the clueless blue haired Devs dont even know that hybrid heal is a thing, and it will balance it out, by just existing duo to no changes
I rarely cast arcaneblast, mostly missiles and barrage now, missiles give arcane charges for barrage and barrage procs orbs that give more arcane charges to do more barrages till you gain clearcasting to missile, you hardly never run out of arcane charges or need stop moving. Arcane is almost 2 button spec now after you get the new synergy with missile - barrage rolling
