Can not change from Gnomish to Goblin Engineering

I crafted all the Items that i want from the Gnomish specialization. After that i re-learn Engineering and currently at 225 again.
But when i try to learn Goblin Engi now, i dont get any Quest for it. Does it have a Timer that i have to wait ? I check out Ratchet but the NPC didnt had a Quest for me. I was in Booty Bay and he only have a Renewel option for Gnomish Engineering. I did visit Gadgazen, but there wasnt any Quest too.

Is that a bug or something ?
How can i accept Goblin Engineering now ?

iirc you cant do that. Even completely relearning engineering wont allow you to go the other spec after. You have to wait unti… phase 5? or so

I think I read on wowhead the only way to change specialisation is to drop the profession and start over again.

Engineering Specializations

Once players have reached an Engineering skill of 200 and a character level of 30 , they can choose to specialize in either Gnomish Engineering or Goblin Engineering . Keep in mind that choosing a specialization is optional, although this choice cannot be changed later without abandoning Engineering altogether .

Isn’t that what he did when he said:

Then I misunderstood, happens, my apols.

Yes i did completly drop Engineering when i crafted the Items from Gnomish Engineering. I started from 0 and lvl it up to 200+ . But there is no option to learn Goblin Engi now. I dont get a Goblin Engi Quest chain :frowning:

Their should be a book you can use to swap between the two. Not sure what stage it was added or if it was an early TBC thing?

‘‘Book of Soothsaying’’
Will try it out and see if it works. Hope that wasnt something that they implement in a later Patch.

Found teh Book

It is to the North of Steamwheedle Port.
There is a small Building where Narain Soothfancy is. Click the Book and it asks you are sure learn a new Specialization

Something that’s not quite clear to me is, do you need to abandon the profession entirely to switch between the 2 specialisations?
