I received a gift from my 12 month subscription (The Luna Snake mount+pet), but I can not choose the EU region to redeem it.
I have read on WoWhead that other promos (like the Razer store promo) have a similar issue.
I have also ordered a Razer Naga a few days ago before I knew about this issue. I may receive the code in the next few days.
This means I will have two valuable gifts in my BNet account, I neither can redeem nor access for my main EU region.
Since there are time limits for the promos to be redeemable, I hope this issue can be fixed before the time runs out for these gifts.

This is under investigation.
Please also check your collections ingame, some may have it in a wrapped gift as reported even when they’ve not claimed it in that region.

can’t claim the gift on Eu but opened the game and the mount was there. checked the ingame shop tab as well and it states i own the item.
I can confirm that the mount is awarded automatically in-game. However it needs to be mentioned that it is just the mount - the pet which is part of the bonus has not been awarded automatically.
The pet is for Cata Classic.

Received mount and pet in game but still there is an empty gift option on my launcher. Also when I check gifts on my account there is only US, Korea and Taiwan regions to get the gift. No EU.
Definitely a visual launcher problem. I was only offered US, Korea & somewhere else that wasn’t EU but opened the game and it was sitting in my mount tab, waiting to be unwrapped.
Came into Blizzard console to see I had a gift. It was for renewing my subscription and the gifts are the Timbered Sky Snake and Timbered Air Snake pet. However when trying to claim, there was only US, Korea and Taiwan in the list of regions.
We usually do get the Chinese New Year mount and pets so presume this is a temporary bug?
UPDATE: I have just spotted that I am connected to the Americas?! For some reason it changed my location, which I have now found how to set back to Europe via the login settings button.
UPDATE2 - my partner is showing as logged into Europe, but when he tries to claim the same sub gift he has the same regions as reported above. No EU option

Hey all,
It looks like this was mostly figured out already, but just to recap we’re aware of some gifts being added to accounts directly as well as sent in duplicate to claim on battle.net.
You can simply leave the duplicates to expire, or claim them in another region.

update: apparently you don’t need to claim it for europe, it’s just in your mount journal when you log in

Clicked the “claim” button, only to find out that EU servers are not on the drop-down list. Could this be an omission, or is this - again - some overbearing EU law that prevents this?

Check in game, it’s probably in your mounts tab.

I had it today as well and I was able to select EU region. Got the mount in-game.
Ironically it seems that the US had the same issue : the gift was not (or appeared not to be) available for their region.
I got the skysnake in my collection when i logged in.
Why would you assume it was not for EU?
And what about other codes that You don’t get in game automatically. Like the NVIDIA promo code and missing EU server. Benn on other topic and it still doesn’t work.
