Can we discuss changes that would actually improve FRESH?

Comparing the Classic experience to private servers such as Northdale, private servers were undoubtely providing a better experience. The game client, graphics, integration etc are on on Blizzard’s side without a doubt, but the core gameplay was much worse. Some of the changes that would make the game better and more enjoyable for all are:

  1. No layers
  2. Mob spawn times adjusted to the number of players in the zone AT LAUNCH ONLY to offset no layers at start
  3. Un’goro crater devilsaur spawn changes reverted
  4. Nerfed instance xp (rarely anyone leveled in the world due to how much better the xp was in dungeons)
  5. Nerf to mage boosting as mages ruin the economy pretty fast
  6. 0 tolerance towards botting, for example rogue bots in BRD have been there since the start and have not been banned. If a private server can steadily ban all bots, don’t tell me a multi million dollar company can’t.
  7. 0 tolerance towards RMT
  8. Progressive itemization, 1.12 items make content trivial
  9. Old AV
  10. No lag when more than 30 people are in one place, makes huge world pvp fights we love in classic not enjoyable

Yet you put ‘Faster rate which you earn gold’, which would just mean inflation, barbershop and other retarded changes aimed towards simplifying the game.

Actually giving us the old Vanilla with #nochanges! And blues to ban bots etc.

Would require cutting down on the population limits. Which I’m all for btw, should be like it was in vanilla. 10k+ players on the same server shouldn’t be a thing.

I don’t think that will be a problem, looking at current Classic populations.

All current populations are low in the game realms list.

Ye, revert devilsaur "fix, revert black lotus “fix”. The game was so boring after changed these two farms.

Actually I think that an “active respawn” feature for outside resources would be a good thing for the economy because let’s be real, bots will never go because Blizzard doesn’t want them away.

Removal of worldbuffs in raids would do the game a favour

Keep the low batching. Also give us a hint when next F R E S H is coming

I agree with almost all those points, but how do you correct the mage issue, you would need to stop them being able to aoe farm instances such as Maraudon aswell as preventing boosting lower lvl players gaining xp while being idle in a group, one fix is to just remove the xp gained while a high lvl is in the group, but how do you stop mages aoe farming?

I would like them to change the PVP system it’s the most toxic crap ever made and was exploited continuously throughout Classic. Maybe give us rated BG’s?

Remove leeway.

Remove world buffs.

none is forcing you to get world buffs, but yourself.

Extremely easy to fix. Mobs that are being farmed en masse need their loot tables nerfed/removed. A well known private server removed the loot table from the hyenas in DM N. Removing the loot tables from the said mobs will not do anything to the average player as the avg players runs how many DM:N runs in his career? 5-10-15-20? How many hyena packs does he kill? 100? Negligible.

No one is forcing him to play the game either. Why shouldn’t he suggest changes to improve the gameplay then? Just leave?

Lol. Your thought process must’ve been laughable. It shouldn’t be possible to fetch world buffs all the time and not to mention STORE it. The game was never meant to be played that way. Should be harder for all.

No world buffs.

What is so hard to understand.

You don’t have to get world buffs. You were never meant to get them unless you want to.

Babies can’t control themselves, so they demand changes instead. Yeah you know where you belong.

fresh from 0 is quite pointless, you need to merge all the servers, so that it feels fresh due to higher population, its like world of abandoncraft right now because so few people online on the servers

They need to declare the server as non-progressive. I feel like this is what kills servers at the end. Some asking for tbc, others wanting to stay.

Just have some fresh servers vanilla world.

You’re joking, right? It was a fact that you had to get world buffs if you played in a ranking guild. You had no choice. People even set up summoning networks with multiboxers to maximize the uptime on world buffs.

Don’t pretend like it was a choice. Because the consequence of choosing not to was to get a guild kick for many people.

That’s on top of the importance people placed on it that it led to a nonstop stream of complaints about gankers and so on, such as “FFS DAMN ALLIANCE/HORDE GANKED ME WHILE I WAS WORLD BUFFED!” and so on. People even started scouting locations beforehand, just to make sure the opposite faction wasn’t there.

There was also an own ladder for clearing the raid WITHOUT any world buffs, though attention was only on the one with for some obvious reasons. And the whole raid was clearable without any WBs at all.

I had to laugh so many times when people claimed the content is to easy and then they had every single buff this game had to offer at that point. I bet they never tried without any WBs at all.

If Blizzard introduces fresh/season they should introduce it with changes as era servers already fulfill the purpose of “almost how it used to be”. People who still want to experience this playstyle can join an era server while revamps run their own ruleset. People who enjoy the latter can play on those servers while people preffering the “almost original ruleset” can play on era ones. At the end of a server lifespan it should end up as its own era server again, though with a possibility for the players to see which rules are active on which server and only connect servers which have the same ruleset applied.

No idea what you are on about. Plenty of ranking guilds that did not have it mandatory to get world buffs. Not the world buffs fault that you are incapable of finding such a team and choose to be somewhere you are unhappy instead.

Was this a problem in vanilla? No. Go figure. Retail mentality where everyone want the best of everything, but not willing to go the extra mile to raid with a team that otherwise fulfill your desires. Then find another team. The hypocrisy is unbelievable.

You are even trying to argument that PVE oriented content should adapt to PVP. Sorry to burst your bubble, by choosing PVP server you chose to have a major PVE handicap.

Your post is nonsensical. What I’m saying is that it became a cultural norm for many. To say you can always choose not to follow cultural norms may be true, but there are consequences for doing so. In this case, it meant a guild kick. For a lot of people in Classic. Especially during progress raids.

If you don’t like admitting it then that’s on you, but that’s what it was like.

Why are you even awaiting a guild kick from a guild you don’t want to be in? You should have left long ago for an environment that actually suit you.

Cultural norms? Yeah maybe you should address the real problems.
