Title. This ability is so overtuned in the glove slot that other options are simply not existent at all. It is the best CP generator, hits harder than a 5cp Envenom/Eviscirate and costs 40energy. Nerf Mutilate @Blizzcucks and buff the other options in the glove slot.

Right now rogues are a mid dps class on WCL and you want to nerf them??? because by nerfing mutilate you nerf the class as a whole,
For starters rogues have pretty much no AOE so all the dmg comes from single target damage, which means they need hard hitting abilities, on top of that rogues offer nothing to a raid comp,
if anything, keep mutilate how it is and buff other abilities giving rogues more choice of spec.

OK, let’s nerf mutilate, but then what exactly the buff to compensate, because we are not doing so good in pve, and they balance gameplay at first place for pve, but I guess you complain about pvp situations?
Let’s look at it like that: they nerf mutilate, whatever they buff will do more dmg right? We have no raid grp utility, aoe, so must be dmg buff, then after we stun lock you, you will get the same burst, but from another sourse, and you will probably want nerf again…
Be more specific, what is the real reason? We cannot kill with mutilate itself. Try the rogue class, play it for a while on the current endgame stage, then share with us again. I can say that there is classes/specs that are broken now, and rogue is not one of them.

No one cares about the state of rogues damage, they get barely into pugs in the first place, and damage isn’t the issue with rogues, they provide no group buffs and utility outside of kicking/expose armor and the rare case of tanking.
A buff to Saber Slash wouldn’t hurt in the slightest, rogues currently gain DPS only from sunderarmor/expose/homunculi and maybe by epic fistweapon if it does effect rogue poisons. (you are welcome to deny or confirm if the epic fistweapon boosts poison DPS)
If rogues can get bleeds back on the menu, ferals will become more viable in return due to them being the only class to actually buff the bleed damage from Warriors/Rogues.
Yes you can, I could open up on any non plate boys with just Mutilate spam, it is that bad. But considering it’s PvP you just do CS Muti KS/BtE and kill with Mutilate spam, it is boring and the effort there is close to 0.
Your mutilate is one of em, ignorance isn’t gonna deny the fact that there is noone in PvP and PvE that plays Saber Slash or Shadow Strike (which unfortunately has been completely replaced by Shadowstep).
Muti costs 40energy and generates 2cp, ontop of that it does loads of damage, even more if poisons exist.

I mean i play rogue and I kinda agree. This mutilate meta is 1 not the most fun, 2 its completly killed every other potential version of rogue that we could play.
I think the devs have failed rogue when it comes to diverse playstyle.
Wheres the runes that affect bleeds/hemo builds etc etc. Right now if you stray from mutilate you’re completely hamstringing yourself. and the only viable way to play saberslash is to get the claw from the last boss which is better for hunter/warrior/shaman and even if you get that you still underperform a rogue using the most easily accessible weapons available through STV/pvp.
The devs need to look at what they’ve created here cos moving into p3 if they change nothing mutilate gets even stronger with the current p3 runes, and literally all the other abilities will fall even further behind.
same with Envemon tbh and deadly brew when it comes to pve. You’ve made this so strong (Only when compared to other rogue runes) that you would never play anything else other than tanking runes, which again if you compare to Shaman you need 3 runes to access what they basically get in 1 without them having to dodge/parry 5 times and used 2gcds to enable.
Mutilate is BUSTED when you look at damage per energy/cp. but everything else is UTTERLY trash. its real dumb

If rogue is basically ST and specific cleave then they should literally pump in ST and specific cleave, not be hella mid tier rofl so yes people should care
You are actually trolling if you dont think in a larger amount of cases its better to just spam mutilates during a MAster of Shadows period than it is to play rogue with skill.

He still doesnt understand reason mutilate got hotfixed wos A panic move by the devs couse rogue got 0 Runes for pve. And pvp out toolkit is worth nothing inside A bg with the healthpools we have currently.
On top of every class got A insta dot these days , second you are out of stealth you are dead. Top 3 dps classes pvp/pve 1/1 reduced to 9 in pve and can only solo players in world pvp with 2 k hp.
Just think how bad it would had been with 60 energy. Haha!
Sad thing is this blue parser is full gnome bis and A paladin whining about rogues on every topic. Paladins getting killed by rogues, looool

this is the case with majority of runes unless its a rune changing the class entirely like tank/heal runes evry non SoD hybrid class has 3-4 runes overshadowing everything else
Some might become useful later through synergy with other runes, but at least half are just bad design.
okay who asked, nobody cares about anyones parses because they do not matter in pvp. actually braindead rogue player believing his parses matter when it comes to anything outside of PvE LMFAO.

Every class except for paladin has a higher dps spec than rogue. We’re so behind, we could backstab em all (if backstab was still meta).
Thats the issue , if ur parsing blue, you will never be A pvp god. Now tell me how do you lose vs A rogue as A paladin? Should be impossible with reckbomb

All of that doesnt change the fact that hes technically right about the current state of mutilate. never has it been 40 energy. the only reason they have done this is because they didnt know how to balance rogues moving forward. and making mutilate 40 energy literally killed every other rogue CP generator. From that aspect not a skill issue at all. its just Bad development. Literally any one can see that.
AS for this dude being utterly butthurt by rogues when he plays a paladin ye skill issue, that makes absolutely no sense to me what so ever

About saber slash, I personally do not like it, we have bleedaplying opener/finisher already, they can work with it instead, it is just bloating. Would prefer better finisher.
At the moment you open with no stun on full health and CD ready clothier boy, you left to get destroyed if player is good, just try it.
Muti is boosted yes, but everything outside is trash, so trat it generates 2 CP is not a biggie if you have no finisher to relly on, but stun, which will be on CD and eviscerate does less dmg…I am not advocating mutilate, but every sane player will prefer what works best.
Rogues are easy kills for ret, it is tickling, but any nonplates eat 500 damage, would’ve been nice if Saber Slash could do actually anything but yaknow, like you said

The whole point with this is mutilate can only bring you this far. Its weapon damage, when you have bis its over.
On the other hand people Get more stamina with better gear and people Get more hp inside bgs. The only time mutilate actually does damage 20 % is from behind.
How often do you stand behind some1 for 5-6 mutilates? With trinkets these days?
And What people dont or wont understand is most of that damage comes from thistle tea
Actually some of the best rogue player in the world in PvP are parsing below blue, because they coudnt give a rats crap about PvE.
