Can we Get a Blue Response to TBCC WOW Token :)

It is like using the cheats that add resources in RTS games

That’s the frustrating thing. Was annoyed last night, still am, but what’s the reality? I’m tired of FF14, PoE isn’t cutting the mustard for me, TBC-C is something I was really looking forward to and even if I dont bother I’ll still be giving Blizzard money because the next game I’ve got hype for is D2:RE (which in all fairness, actually seems extremely good and is getting the right praise)

I’m a damn whale and that’s it. Ugh.

It’s simply unrealistic to deliver a vanilla or tbc experience with no changes or modern features added to the game.
I’ve never bought a token before but if it’s added to the game I’ll consider buying one or two. Why? Because I’d like to focus on multiple aspects in the game (dungeons, raids, leveling alts, arena) but battling bots and boosters is not one of them.
Do I gain advantage over those who choose not to buy in? Of course I do but the choice is up to the individual, you can either pay with your time and farm the same amount of gold or you can use your Mastercard. I don’t see anything wrong with either.

That is very old idea of p2w from beginning of mobile gaming era or some terrible asian MMOs/crazy private WoW servers.

If p2w was only happening when store gives you advantage which cant be obtained by playing then they could add S1/T4 gear into shop during S1 and it would be perfectly fine according to that - its just pay to skip… In S2 they could add T5 and S2 gear, its just pay to skip, etc…

Ofc it is all p2w when you can skip hundreds of hours of gameplay or buy gold for money and rating for gold. One time 58 is minor p2w element, token is major p2w and set tiers in shop would be extreme version of it but is still p2w. Skipping stuff in MMO is huge. You dont need big shiny sword with 20% higher stats than best ingame sword(to make it p2w)…

your answer is within 1 question
“why shouldn’t blizzard bring shop-token to classic?”

Blizzard are aware of the many many gold buying/selling in classic, therefore there is a demand on gold and so Blizzard for sure will try to benefit out of it.

it’s been always the players greed that destroyed this game, Not Blizzard.

P.S same with leveling boost, if blizzard didn’t see the amount of people paying to speed up level? they would have never brought shop leveling service.

yes 3rd party is banable and blizz wowtoken is legal
blizz take my money i want my items

I bought it too to save my time and yes it will not win arenas for me. But it is still HUGE advantage. It just snowballs.

Now I have on realm where I am 1 week 100% riding, 200 gold on top of it, 300 mining and skinning which I could do instead of killing 4 days of /played killing some pigs and bandits, now Dark Portal opens, I can make even more gold, then ditch skinning, use gold from gathering+my mining to skill BS fast to get epic mace. On top of it I have enough honor and marks for 2x 70 lvl pieces. If I did not buy boost, I would be about lvl 50-58 nolifing, having no gold or honor headstart at all, because instead of farming thorium I would kill most of my time doing qests…

I still can’t fathom how you are struggling to grasp that saving on 100s of hours of leveling isn’t paying to win.

People who like WOW don’t want Token.
People who play for two weeks and let it go, want the Token.

Blizzard makes casual gamers happy, and makes people who enjoy the game abandon it.

But Blizzard believes that it makes money with a Token.

People who like this game like it because it is hard to get things, if a random person comes and because he has money he gets the same as me investing 500h and for paying he has it in 5m, it makes my item lose the value that it deserves.

People had almost two damn years to get everything ready and get something going into BC but somehow getting boost to 58 is p2w…What exactly are you winning? You are in worse position than most players once you buy boost.

It’s the retail player mentality that created that. I bet lots of classic fans leave because of it.

If you are not able to understand that you have two years to level, and you need to pay money to get up 58 levels, you do not understand what a P2W is.

People who have a character at 60 achieve it with effort and dedication, if you want to pay money for things go to Retail, the Classic they took out because people wanted to enjoy what the effort was, and not the P2W.

What difference does the Retail and the Classic have once they put Character Upload, Token, etc. ?

The beauty of the Classic is knowing that whoever has something, has it because they have made an effort, and not because they have a credit card.

Compared to T3 veteran with 50k gold? It is absolutely nothing, will be still in extreme disadvantage with boost or not. Compared to non boost player who comes just for TBC? Quite big advantage at the beginning…

Nah,you dont understand what p2w actually means

Start of classic people leveled mostly with dungeon raids, aoe farming since they hated normal leveling process.Like who even asked for boost in classic?Never heard someone asking for it,there was nothing on forums…they just added it since they knew people hate leveling in classic, its slow and boring.Every channel ingame is “wts boost”

Most people play for the level 60 or soon level 70 content, not leveling process

Why should there be difference, its made by same company. No idea why you expect something different from a company that fills their games with extra purchases.

2 years to get ready? If you cant understand the logic of being able to skip content as a win from both a time saving point, gold making point amongst other aspect then we truly do have no hope amongst the playerbase.

Ok, you have some point here, compared to 2 years veterans I am still just one green nab. But so were newcommers when TBC originaly came out.

But after all one time boost or mount are not things I am truly fighting here against - when one time boost was announced I was fine with it and happy I can play again one of my all time favourite expansions for endgame but least favourite for 1-60 levelling.

Token is my real problem. You give Blizz 1 finger and they will swallow you whole. If they implement that one I will not stop playing, but I will feel that my boring grind for stuff like 280% flying or ratings was instantly devaluated when people can just buy it…
