Can we Get a Blue Response to TBCC WOW Token :)

Ita funny what you say about retail  When I log in Classic all I can see is “WTS mara/stockades/ZF/ZG boost”, boosts, boosts, boosts. GDKP raid runs everywhere. Talking about swiping a credit card? Ye you can very easily do that on Classic without Blizz boost or WoW token. You can buy literally everything for money on Classic  You can be boosted from lvl 1 to t3 bis without doing anything else but paying enough gold which you can easily purchase from third party sites.

Hate to break it to you but all WoW is p2w. You can buy boosts for everything in retail. Same applies in classic but in larger extent. You don’t even have to play game. Use 58 boost or dungeon boosting. Afk your r14 gear in arathi basin/alterac valley. Do gdkp runs and afk your t3 gear. When you stomp on retail at least acknowledge that classic has exactly the same flaws.

HA HA HA HA
Minwhile the druids…

The problem is in the short term this will make them money but in nthe long term they will lose money …Activision seem hellbent on draining the game dry rather then slowly milking it

Ita completely normal. People stop playing once they 1) play so much they simply burn or or they 2) do all possible content.

On Retail we got like 9 months of the same content, ofc people stopped playing it and are waiting for a new patch. Classic in later phases? Nearly a ghost town IN COMPARISON to how many people played few months after launch.

This is not an excuse to excuse this behaviour rather then saying oh there are gold sellers so lets sell our own gold …Get of your lazy bottoms and do something about the gold sellers!
also other games are retaining players better then wow is atm probably because rather then making dumb and overly complicated system then spend a whole expansion trying to balance it other games put out simple yet entertaining content regularly.

WOW had no trouble retaining players for the first 2.5 expansions what changed

Sometimes if you want to get rid of hard drugs you need to legalise soft ones  its not easy to get rid of gold sellers, Blizzard is a private company with limited options, not government.

What changed? Competition. Back then WoW was the only mmorpg for real casuals. Now people have much more options. Not only in MMORPG genre but look at how many games are produced every year. The amount is insane.

Keeping todays player attention is much harder than it was back than  I see that on myself. Back then all I played was WoW. There was no game I was interested in other than WoW. Look at how many beautiful games we got now. I switch between them. Not because WoW is bad but because I like many more other games now. I no longer walk in SW when im done with a current content. I rather go play other games. Whole industry changed over past 15 years.

Then why are games like FFXVI and ESO not only retaining player but growing if that true ?

TBH your just making excuses for the rate blizzard has gone down hill and its this reason wow is in the terrible state it is in because ppl sit in the burning house which is wow sipping tea saying this is fine …When to save the game you should be shouting from the roof tops this not okay!

What exactly do you win if you are still behind most players when you pay for the boost?..

I don’t know about FFXIV but if you look at steamcharts you can clearly see decline in ESO playerbase. It is higher every new patch and then declines every month. You see? Natural process  you can see that im almost every game.

Its a general principle of gaming. Once you do the content you start to get bored and you start looking for another games while waiting for new content.

Then as i said preciously stop making dumb and stupidly hard to balance systems and actually release some content :stuck_out_tongue:

Ita hard to balance for everyone if you have people who play 12 hours a days and people who play 12 hours a week

You are right, you can buy everything on classic already. But there is big difference between goldsellers and tokens and its in accesibility and legitimacy. In all those years on retail before token I never bought gold from goldseller, but I bought 2-3 tokens from when they added it to now to skill 2 main professions from AH for example. Is it not big enough p2w shortcut, when you can craft epic weapons day one etc.? And what about arena ratings, raids clears which only few people can afford without buying gold…

There is much bigger chance that even average casual player will buy it when its right there in shop for everybody… Which means even more trading with dungeon/raid/rating boosts. It also devaluates time of those people who want to grind hard and buy those boosts from grinded gold…

Can someone actually link anything regarding this supposed classic token or are we all just being trolled by OP ?

You can’t Link it here but you can find the information on icy veins. from the original finder (MrGM) to others finding on NA store too

OK thanks. This could just be the chinese one showing up in the store by mistake. Or it could be Blizzard preparing it for NA/EU.
We definitely need a blue post on this.

Game shops, microtransactions, selling in-game services for money, RMT it’s everything what is wrong with current gaming.
Games were good when they were just games and no real money came in contact with it.

People hoped that introduction of Classic and then TBCC will be different but i guess we were all wrong. Blizzard has to suck as much money as humanly possible.
TBC Deluxe was a first step.

Disgusting.

This is the typical bad argument for p2w. “…but you don’t win”. Obviously to be as efficient as possible you have to buy the boost. It puts you ahead of others who don’t use the boost. A single level boost to 58 is very light p2w as it is quite easy to catch up but ppl use the same argument for tokens too. It’s also not the worst p2w out there but buying gold will for sure put you ahead of those who don’t. You can try to argue that it doesn’t give any advantage but you would be wrong.

EDIT: And for you who say “its not p2w, it’s pay to skip” (or whatever). Ok, that literally changes nothing. Completely irrelevant.

this way people will be able to buy gold from blizzard instead from chinese gold farmers

very good change that will make TBc much more enoyable

now im only waiting for char boosts both for TBC and classic and possibly imlementation of lfg tools that we have in retail.

Their silence is more than enough of an answer imo. If it was truly an error we’d have a blue post by now. Hell even the icon for the WoW-token was changed to fit TBCC so it’s most likely gonna be introduced soon.

I’m not gonna stop playing because of this, I’ve been looking forward to TBCC for too long, but this is a bit too far for a “classic” version of an old MMO.
