Can we kill some of the "wise" and peaceful characters?

Thrall. Anduin. Ebonhorn. Alextrasza. Baine.

The boring squad. They will forgive any betrayal, any war crime, any genocide, and they’ll always try and be friends together again.
Oh, they’re so wise. They never hold a grudge. They always see the bigger picture. They know how to move past their differences.

Zzzzzz.
I’m so done with these perfect, righteous characters. I hope some of them die, sooner rather than later.

I guess you haven’t been watching or reading any of the lore?
They’re far from what you describe.

I’ll give you this though; you got me to reply. Well played.

Anyway… Alex I don’t really care about, but those other characters are cool.
Baine will never be as cool as his dad was, but meh… He’s fine.

They are perfect because they don’t have twisted morality, you see

No, wisdom is the greatest leadership attribute.

No, Wise characters are the only thing that makes sense anymore. With the amount of Orcs and Humans killed in senseless conflicts there should be hardly any people left in Azeroth. There is simply no way to wage war with each other anymore.

Ebonhorn has been aligned with the Horde since he hatched. Now that he has inherited his father’s mantle the Horde has been bolstered.

Anduin is not his father. Many who would have boldly followed Varian doubts Anduin.
Thrall understands that carving out an existence and place for the Horde can not always be done with the Axe. Where others are short sighted Thrall has vision.

Baine is the last remnants of the honour of the Horde but they did ruin his character. Went from imposing Lauren that fearlessly drove out the Grimtotems to the lackey of Nathanos Blightcaller and crying on mommy Mayla’s shoulder.

The reason they feel boring is there have not been much or any growth.
Perhaps new leaders and champions are needed or old ones finally doing something.

Yes, that’s what you want from every president in real life.

But this is a fantasy setting.
If all Game of Thrones characters were wise, nobody would have cared about that show because the story would have been extremely boring and the characters very plain and one dimensional.

I’m gonna die on the hill that it’s too late for any kind of faction war.

Cata was the time to do this kind of storylines. Was the story handled well, we could have had a long-lasting faction conflict that spans over several expansions but doesn’t paint the Horde as war-obsessed morons and the Alliance as forgiving morons.

At this point I welcome the wisdom and peace. I’m tired of faction war the way Blizzard does it and I truly hope it never comes back in any shape or form.

I don’t even ask for a faction war.
I just want to get rid of all these copy pasted boring characters, and get someone interesting instead.

Alextrasza and Ebonhorn aren’t faction leaders and I still mentioned them in this thread.

No. Ebonhorn is so reassuring. im tired of modern schizoid chars with psichoanalytic problems.

Take the modern day anduin instead. and bring back the one till early bfa.

Killing Anduin would be the best thing they did to the story in a long time.

Like who? What would you consider ‘a more interesting character’?

All of the examples you gave of ‘perfect’ characters, are actually flawed people who have made numerous mistakes or had various issues throughout WoW.

Hard to say, most characters are written the same way.

I really liked early BFA Jaina. They ruined it later but it was a good start. She felt “real” and convincing.

So you Just want more sylvanas wanna be characters? Mhh
