Let’s see they plan to increase allocation of Legendary shards from HM Ulduar25 runs to at least 3 (2+ Keeper Yogg drops 1 Algalon drops 2) and strongest guilds can get 5 shards. They also plan to introduce skip, with lockouts they also plan to lower the token requirements for tier pieces so less work for same result. Seems like they actually work so that you can spend less time on game as they deemed some of it detrimental.
RDF as it’s made is indeed a time saving feature but not to the extend you’re making it be. It will barely affect those that are only running dungeons or even raid logging since they already sit in Dalaran/Capital only moving to the dungeon if needed more often than not relying on others to summon them. Levelers that opt to only chain run dungeons like SM or Stockades or Ragefire will also not feel a difference as they already sit in front of their chosen dungeon running it again and again. Only those that are actually in the world, questing, gathering etc will feel a speed up as they’ll no longer will need to split their time between questing and “LFD Mode”.
Not a speed, an actual chance of doing a dungeon now and then. Only bugger is - Dungeons give too much XP. So I like visit Besthen or Slaats before do dungeon … leading to me travel anyways - prolly leading to me not doung Dungeon even with RDF. Why only one place you can stop XP … and then cost 10 G !
Now I want change: Make like JJ at almost all Innkeepers, and cheap or best free!
This is so much what is for me, but Maraudom gave me almost 3 levels, I think too fast. When I returned, all mobs and Quests were grey.
I love doing social dungeons, but nobody seem to want any more
Oh yes, current WoW is so much better than what it was like 15 years ago. But sure, feel free to sink along with the boat for all I care. At this point I don’t really expect much more from the devs, let alone from what’s left of this community. After all, I shouldn’t be surprised by what kind of players remained after all the nonsense that happened since then.
Uh no, no they didn’t. In fact, most of the things they changed (uptuning raids, heroic+, no RDF, even stuff like no auto-DE in groups) actually increased the time required to play in order to get the same things done, compared to the same game version from 15 years ago.
And look what we have now. Blizzard decided to buff up Ulduar’s Loot so that during Phase 3 players still run Ulduar over abandoning it in favor of ToC. That means that if you’re for whatever reason not geared up you’re looking at running 2h+ Ulduar alongside ToC every week. And no you won’t be able to downsize to Ulduar10 like they made possible with Phase 1 raids because they specifically made sure that 10m HM Uld will not drop all the loot.
Preach brother game is so dead, They can add the wow token but not RDF. I call that lunacy, madness, insanity. Give us RDF !! Let us have fun in dungeons !! Let us level alts in peace!! Come on Blizzard it will liven up the world a lot !!
I started playing the game again 2 days ago, after quitting sept 22. Tbh, I expected dungeons to be rough.
But no. I just enlisted myself while doing quests, and got a whisper after 20-40 minutes “hey still wanno do this and that” and I said yes.
We ened up doing the same dungeon a few times, plus some others in our range. People from MY server. We didnt become friends, but it could have happened. I think I would remember them if I ran into them again.
Wow changed directions along the changes of it’s playerbase. The 2010-2012 brought the session gameplay based with RDF and LFR being introduced for volatile players to supplement that that made outside world almost extinct.
2014 has shift to solo player and mobile like experience with garrison mission table and chosen one vibes.
2016 saw rise of enforced activities and change from raid logging culture to always online enforcement via AP race grind, that hurted alts and off specs.
Then there was borrowed power madness with every BfA patch players having to grind new BP system for it only to be ditched next patch in favour of the new one.
So Retail changed at least 3 times and you only comparing it to Vanilla, when 40 ppl didn’t saw their BiS for almost a year. It was the other pace with less informed and skilled players in an age when information wasn’t so freely available.
Oh absolutely. I’m just pointing out that Wrath was cementing the “Game begins at max level” feel and made it accessible. While Legion, BfA and SL added numerous systems on top of that (something DF simplified at least when it comes to alts) the notion stayed.
Nobody ever said money changed hands. Just that the rested xp owners are close friends with some of the classic developers and get preferred insider access, and their feedback can go straight to the source.
And that they have used this opportunity to lobby against qol features that would decrease their addon profits
