Can we please have a glyph for Dracthyr to hide dragon form?

Pretty please? The class is fun, but the ugly dragon form ruins the mog and thats not okay

+1 , the ONLY reason. And i swear to God, im dead honest (as usual) is that i cant stand looking at this ugly form.

To be honest, they could just make some class-specific animations for the “dragons breaths” and stuff that are a bit more like a Wizard…

Like even Voldemort has something fitting.

A human-like breathing some fire with a spell or throwing some magic from spectral dragon wings that are transparent can’t be that hard to do.

Edit: Or even better example… Iroh from Avatar…

And for flight charge attack, the character could just fly over the ground like Doctor Strange…

Agreed and its why i cant play this class just no.

Well you can already play the class with animations cuz ive done this many times with that pad thingy that allows you to change race everytime you walk over it

Stop watching Marvel/DC they’re not a great source of creativity, and are generally made for 12 year olds, reason why Fyrakk cinematic was so cringe too.

Do Evokers even have any Glyphs?

I am giving examples of what ideas can be taken for inspiration.

If you want to hear another… The Dracthyr in visage form could also just create a specter of itself and let said specter fly the path and upon reaching the final destination point the specter swaps the position with the actual caster (camera still follows the specter).

There are MANY ways to make the abilities compatible with the visage by just adding new animations, which ergo adds new class depth visually.

`Yeah sorry i just get triggered by this manchild DC/marvel whole fiasco.

I dont think so. I played evoker since release, but i quit for 90% of season 2 DF, but it really is annoying to me that the class cant be played without entering the dragon form cuz i really find it ugly AF.

Tbh I think they should give them body type 5 that makes them as bulky as Drakonids. Would have mained them even, if they did that lol

I wish dracthyr could just wear armour it feels so lazy… I like the way they look but I wanna show off my cool mogs

The race was clearly never meant to get full transmog options otherwise they would’ve done it from release, adding barber armor seals the deal on that as well.

Permenant visage minus breath/dragon attacks is the best solution. That way the Dracthyr form will be just like Moonkin form. Customizable, unable to wear armor, looks really cool but not permanent.

I hope you never get your wish on this, though I fear that you will.

World of Warcraft’s coolest classes and heroes are those whose culture and physiology are as one.

A Tauren Warrior is cool, a Tauren Rogue is a joke. A Night Elf Druid is cool, a Dwarf Druid is a joke. A Human Mage is cool, an Orc Mage is a joke. An Orc Shaman is cool, a Human Shaman is a joke.

You take that scaleyboi dragon and clip off the wings? You’ve got a joke.

The problem with this class/race is that they aren’t leaning into the dragon fantasy enough - they are lanky and weird looking and lack the intimidating appearance of other dragons in the game.

Give them that. Don’t roll back the dragon, double down on it.

If you don’t want to be a dragon, don’t roll one. It’s okay, there are plenty of other cool archetypes for you to enjoy.

Dude that’s some hot takes man, I dont think I’ve ever heard someone hate that classes are being opened to each race. Oh and I have a few nitpicks if you don’t mind, not intended to offend just inform.

Human used to practice druidism and shaman rituals until the light came and made them choose between the light and the “old ways”. But pre light it was common to see humans using totems and doing shamnistic rituals.

this is a fair critique but one of the few with the new opening ofthe classes

possible solution but I think it would be too much effort for blizz to do that instead of just creating a glyph which would effectively change I think like 3 or 4 abilities, but not a bad idea, just unlikely.

not sure why this is a joke but if you don’t like it I suppose, even though you arae playing pandaren which is a bit of a huh?

Then you sure have never listened to ANYONE who designed this game in the first place, nor any of the millions of players who persistently rolled their eyes at tauren rogues for 16 years.

I can’t really help that I’m afraid.

WoW was originally designed to have the archetypes of Warcraft 3 plus a little bit. In fact at first, WoW was supposed to disallow female night elf druids, but that was relaxed at least. They also planned for no Gnome Warriors but they found they didn’t have enough classes for them due to making Tinker a profession instead, so they decided to give everyone warriors, and that was the only class which everybody could roll.

The fact that every race should have every class is the real hot take around here.

Exactly, and you play a modern human.

Druidic humans do not fit in Stormwind. Stormwind is well kempt.

There’s dozens of stupid combinations now. I could go on forever. Tauren Warlocks, hello?! When we gonna get Undead Paladins - I’m sure it’s gotta be coming.

Quit making excuses. They’re doing tons of customization for our mounts and characters every patch. I’m not buying it.

Because orcs are a savage race who couldn’t do magic at all, with only a little shamanism through in for the high ranking members, until Gul’dan corrupted them with the fel. They went straight from nothing to warlock - there were no mages. Ever, and there is no reason why they should pick it up culturally. They have massive physiology and consider the use of magic extremely dishonourable. An orc mage is a massive lorelol.

What’s important to understand is that what makes WoW’s races so much fun is that they’re more than just a skin or appearance - they’re a culture and background, an origin and home. WoW has forgotten that now and it’s a huge detriment to the game. I miss it dearly.

Dracthyr being draconic avian creatures is heir whole deal. It is why they were made and how they were made. I rather have them stay as it is. There’s a difference between opening a class to other races and killing the dragon class fantasy of a class.

Well I have and I understand the reasoning behind the limitations, and I agreed and enjoyed them when, like you said, they held to the modern view of that race.

But at this point where certain things were allowed for I guess the sake of having them, my problem lies not within what’s allowed and what isn’t, my problem with this lies in the inconsistency of the current limitations, for instance we know and have seen night elf paladins yet arent allowed to play them, in DF we even see multiple night elves accept the elemental powers and have been able to convince some of them to join us yet we can’t play night elf shamans, but races like zandalari and tauren can be paladins for the sake of having horde and alliance have acces to all classes i suppose.

Still I find this inconsistency to be so irritating I’d much rather they stop trying to justify irt and just go all out and leave that limitation behind because it’s been violated too many times like you’ve shown. Atleast that’s why I think it’s a good change.

But if they instead somehow were able to restrict it back to where the lore was important and relevant to the reasoning I’d be okay with that too, seeing as I do enjoy when your exact pick of race and class matters. I just think we are a bit too far gone so it won’t likely happen.

Not an excuse, simply coming to the closest possible conclusion of why certain things are and aren’t, like I said, your theory is possible simply unlikely due to the reasoning I gave. But in no way am I defending them and saying it’s unfair of you to want that, it’s not and I think your idea would be cool.
