Shrine of storms +11 on third boss 12 mins to go.
Special snowflake tank decides to leave because in his words " won’t three chest it" kills the key and F^%$s the whole group over.
Getting so sick and tired of this BS Blizz , do something about it. Punish them hard and if you won’t do that at least let us post names so we know who not to invite !
The fact there’s a damn post about this every single week , suggest there is a problem here. To those people who say " go do it with guildies" My guild does +6’s because they find anything higher than that too stressful /hard.

Tank expects to 3 chest, shrine, on bolster week?
we need a system where when they sign up shows you how many times they left a m+ in time.
Make a star rating rating at the end of the run so players can score performance or something like that.
So when you got princess tank signing up you know he/she a serial leaver with 2 stars. Then we know hmmm not likely going to invite him/her.

Stars, meh, it can be forced. M+ left yea, but only LEFT, not because of a disbanded group. That way you would need a system to agree to give up as a whole team, so those times wouldn’t count if it’s a common agreement.
Always be very very very careful for what you wish here. Always imagine the worst outcome possible, like a group of 3 people agreeing to give up just to ruin a key to someone in time, or a group that collectively down votes a good tank just to harass him. Because that is surely going to happen atleast once.

It feels like we have had this conversation before… like multiple times and I don’t think the outcome will change significantly.
People who are 120 will praise Rio, perhaps criticize it a bit in certain areas… one or two will come complain about it ofcourse and then some low level alts with smal amounts of posts will troll around.
Simply put we don’t need a system for leavers in constructed content. Go out there socialize and talk to people. I don’t even use the LFG tool anymore since there’s always someone who wants a group someplace. It’s a MMO, want quick join content sign up for a HC. Want good groups, start find friends with similar goals.
Sometimes I feel like people lack social skills and at the same time praise systems that either force people to group or breaks people apart(like scores, deserter etc).

You sure can, just make sure to prepare for the banhammer.
Here’s a really simple solution to guarantee that no one will leave your key!
Play
With
Friends.

It’s not something that can be forced, but would be good to have something anyway. Like in classic, individual reputation meant everything, almost, so if you were someone who abandons groups carelessly, chances are you would not get into future groups as people would not invite you because of what you do. Essnetially, you would be blacklisted,
But since community these days is a total clusterf***k, well…what can you really do :o
and what if you don’t have friends because they left the game due to the poor state the game is in ? yeah that’s what all my friends did. they are waiting for Classic.

But here’s a thing I fear for Classic because imagine if the current BFA playerbase plays it they have gotten used to QOL changes and would cry and moan cause they have to grind and mobs will hit harder and will be harder to kill and they would have to group with people just to complete stuff no LFG tools in Classic and many people sadly that I have noticed are already anti-social or are afraid of being judged so I don’t see Classic working out in the long run sadly the old community of classic and TBC are dead only one atm that I know played back then is Puny.So I apologise for being honest but that’s just me.
You can make new friends. I have very few people from the last 10+ years still playing. As the friends list limit is 200 and I play both sides (mainly Horde) it’s an ever evolving list.
As frustrating as it is to suffer someone leaving or messing up a key there is no practical way to fix it. Taking the tank example, if he/she were to get a bad mark for leaving the key before it completed he would simply afk until everyone gave up or the timer expired. If it’s players rating others, it’s too open to abuse, especially where friends or guildies play together.

This was so common in Vanilla/BC on the server I played. It was during the early Pug scene when Pugging certain bosses like Void Reaver in the Eye during BC started to become popular. Guilds / friends whould basicly ruin people if they for some reason was out of line. Shared blacklist addons going rampant etc.
I mean sure, communities can be usefull to maintain a stable and friendly server. But it could also be used for direct or indirect evil purposes when missused. That’s why not much have changed since back then, people make friends or join guilds and usually keep hanging around people they enjoy.
Personally I just ignore people I can’t stand and try to be as nice as I can in game. No system whould change this for me tbh. but well I whould not like a system where people whould be chained down into the “let’s all be friends or there’s hell to pay” playstyle which often could be the case in earlier expansions. Sure being a “random guy” sometimes bring out the worst in players, but at the same time having a reputation that could be ruined over a bad day or an argument ain’t really good either.

Instead of naming and shaming maybe we should have an honor list of m+ players who we enjoy running keys with, players who were willing to help out or even were great rocks to lean on during clutch moments.
This way we could also encourage positive behaviour, which would be nice.
When i reflect on myself and my own personality i find that its not that black and white. Some days I’m very patient nice and forgiving but I also have days where I really want to get something done and get frustrated with people I play with.
then just accept that pugging will go wrong sometimes?
I manage just fine even though I only have 2 people that I play with once in a while, either way it’s not impossible to make friends or join a community.

Naming and shaming is against the forum rules, you might want to edit out the name.
Do they leave your key or they don’t exist?
I like lul factor of both hypothetical options in this pun, but I am confused and need to know…
I wish we could but sadly I don’t think it’s possible to police people on such a fundamental level. Some people just have no regard for anyone else and while that’s not okay, it is a sad reality.
Player based rating will be abused, system based rating will be circumvented.
You’ll always be my friend in my heart
I’ll even make a space goat for you
