You know we are half into expansion, and the amount of mounts they have for us in upcoming patches is insane, each expansion we getting more yet they don’t feel rewarding such as it was during lets say cataclysm and below?
But arent there also going to be new mounts released for mythic/top end PVP rewards too?
I seem to recall they do that every season/expansion. Plus the odd rare drop mount.
Meaning that if you want to farm something ‘rewarding’ then you have those to show off with.
The rest are mostly just recolors or new skins for old models and something fun to collect (sacking the art dept for making 4 colors of raptorcat wont result in another dungeon).
I dont get this attitude of wanting to take away something other people enjoy just because you dont like it…your opinion isnt more valid to the world at large just because it is yours.
If rumours are true 10.2 is last patch.
I expect we’ll see another mish mash last season like they did in SL though.
I wasn’t a fan myself and I have no idea if it was well received on the whole or not.
I liked the dinar system that was it and the mount from fated raids.
I didn’t like the affixes in raids, they made things awkward with timing. Having to stop dps is the most asinine way to have to cope with a mechanic.
I think everyone liked getting to choose their three bis items from the dinar vendor
No, I thought 10.2. is the first patch, and that DF came out 2 weeks ago… Oh wait
Where are you picking up this nonsense? Go check Simplearmory tab, regarding how many Shadowlands brought. Hell, SL launch had atleast 4-5 times the mounts, DF had. Also BFA, we had Darkshore rares, Arathi rares, tons of rep & vendor mounts, island expedition mounts, 3 dungeon drops. DF had almost zero compared to the last two expansions.
Also 10.2. will bring how many? 12-14 at most? And half of them will be obtainable very fast.
I agree with this, but don’t say how insane it is. It’s a major step back from BFA & SL. That’s all I’m saying.
Still working on BFA myself Uldam and MoP area it had so many compared to this expac .
I like that they add things for collectors and the ones asking for it to slow down shouldnt be in my view .
I have been thinking of something similar. It feels like treasure chests, rares, mounts and pets are their “go to” content solution. It’s fine, but it hardly captures my interest for the same reasons you listed. It’s so much of it.
I am also not a repeat content too much type of person. I can repeat a bit, but e.g. WQ’s and especially daily quests really do not last very long with me. For that reason the treasure chests, rares, mount and pet rewards just don’t encourage me to do the content - it feels like those things ARE the content, instead of bonus rewards here and there.
Agreed. Fight me though
But we are both already dead.
The problem is that cosmetics and mounts are the only thing Blizz can use to reward world content that isn’t gear, and if they were to award decent gear, the raid/M+/PvP crowd would yell bloody murder, and if gear isn’t good enough, it will be abandoned within weeks, like Zaralek caverns, so gear rewards require very precarious balancing.
On the other hand, cosmetics last longer, gear is outdated in months, but people will go back to try and get mounts for years (People are still snuffing Arthas every week for Invincible, for instance), maybe the “I must have all the things!”-attitude is harming people’s enjoyment of the game, but is that something for Blizzard to fix?
judging by your nickname i wouldnt be suprised “konju”
according to simple armory :
72 DF (so far)
161 SL
98 BFA
52+21 Legion
48 WoD
51 MoP
24 Cata
40 Wotlk
37 TBC
all im saying is dont say how this is majhor step back from BFA&SL,thats all im saying.
Didnt expect anything less from you, “cursing is a strong sign of a weak mind”.
YOu keep spreading false facts, the only thing youre good at as it seems so ;D
Says the guy calling me a horse at first What a deluded mind you are.
What false facts haha? You literally posted the numbers, and for the 3rd time - I’m saying there are far less mounts than in Shadowlands and BFA, considering 6 are Dragonriding mounts, that are mandatory, and 10.2 will bring what, max 12 new? How is this a false fact? You are really picking a fight & arguing for the sake of arguing.
Definitely no, you are talking about different departments in R&D. Not the same focus of development, different skills & knowledge.
To reply on the topic, please leave this content as is. I’m a casual collector & I can’t bear anymore to have to grind daily for 2 months the same rep/ rare for some transmog/ mounts. One example: Taeshalach ( weekly farm of the raid for few months now, it’s just frustrating & not really justified).
It makes no sense to have a team sweating for weeks to develop content that should be limited to a selected few with nothing to do other than wow. This time is over & gone and that’s a good thing.
And indeed, let’s add more recolor & rework of old sets/ weapons. We have now great quality gear that match poorly with the old one (basically anything below WoD/Legion)
Regarding the “I don’t keep the mog because I don’t feel I earned it”, I’m wondering what would make you think you earned it? Farm for 10 months to get it, and complain on monthly basis on the forum to change the drop rate/ reputation earning to get it?
I really dont see the problem. Majority of the models were already in game as mounts and new pets/mounts were developed for the new patch, not just for people to collect.
They are basically freebies!
Horse is one of the most majestic animal in the world, that was a compliment, but i understand that you cannot comperhand it.
Oh forgot its too much for your weak mind,2+2=4 quick math.
if you don’t get some stuff now you will have trouble getting it later since you’ll have to go really out of your way to do so.
Do you understand the difference between a fact and an opinion?
(Don’t answer, its clear you don’t).
