ive seen mesage but WTF does it mean if youre ingame
plus, my launcher always turn off when i start wow
its useless and they allso announce it on some random channel
check out other games, the message is clear and visible to whole server
i almost lost a halls of valor run the other day because of it and oh boy i was cursing at it
The server literally starts counting down at 15 minutes beforehand in the chat and the character selection even has an announcement field for maintenance.
But I do agree that Server Maintenance should be ALSO displayed once on daily log-in via a message and [SERVER] chat channels should be “always on” in every chat tab, no matter the settings. Make it a separate channel with priority 1.

There should be a popup window in the corner of the screen which announced servers shut down an HOUR before the fact. Some people even miss the chat warning due to how their UI is set up.
Ah yes, because people play with their launched on top of their game.
Have you even heard of the concept of time perception, and how it can be negatively affected when people are too engaged in a given activity, like IDK… playing A GAME…

You definitely need to stop using the beta launcher though, it doesn’t function properly.
None of that attitude is warranted towards me. I get that you are irritated with Blizzard and we all get caught out by server shutdowns.
Personally I prefer they fix things in the game and sometimes those hotfixes require them to restart the servers.
Your response is kind of ironic considering you are literally quoting me saying I have no idea when the message appeared.
The normal launcher doesn’t work, it just gets stuck on initializing if there’s any updates. I started using the beta version of the launcher due to that.
That 15 minutes warning is unsuitable if you’re in…a key.
C’mon, just think, then post.
That’s unfortunate but that is probably the reason you don’t see the messages. Not that I particularly notice them unless I go to look if there are issues.

If you’ve started a m+ key, 15 minutes is nowhere close to being enough.

It was moved a number of years ago. Although the weekly maintenance is generally still carried out at that time.

What they did last night was patch the game … and then decided to have a maintenance period. Interestingly the patch was only a few hundred mb but the disk clean up was 2.3Gb or something like that. For me the game was all over the place and so I was both glad of the patch and also the down time if it fixes the problems. Shows they are on the case. Interacting with NPCs that are half in the ground felt a little strange.
Whilst I don’t think it’s a bad thing to request for better notice, I do think they just try to pick a time that is going to have the least impact on players. So the middle of the night is usually a safe bet.
I agree though any change that is made, even if some want it there will be others that don’t. And the cycle of complaining goes on 
. You just can’t please everyone.
