I mean, when I had vacation over xmas, I played like 12 hours a day. The restarts were an inconvinience but at night it shouldnt suprise me. So I shrugged it off, watched some youtube or did some homestuff and after 15m or 1h everything was back.
I take this minor inconvinience before bugs any day.
Maybe you just didn’t look at the spot on the screen or didn’ see it because of your own focus on logging into the game?
Then idk what other ways you want Blizzard to use to inform you. From your stance I could see that you would demand GMs directly writing you on log in in a whisper to inform you about the maintenance, huh?
They ALREADY DO THAT. What is so hard for you to understand this?
I have on the launcher 2 days before maintenance an extra text line below my game selection telling me “World of Warcraft will undergo Maintenance on [value] between 3-4 AM, during that time the game will not be accessible”.
When I log in 2 days before scheduled maintenance, I have on the left side of my screen a text box informing me about that.
I don’t know what kind of game version you are playing, but it can’t be the official WoW one because that one HAS ALREADY the stuff you ask for. Since basically as long as I play WoW, which is at least the last 4 years.
For the weekly maintenance sure. This was one day after the weekly maintenance. Are you telling me they put up a notice 48 hours in advance of that to fix issues they didn’t even know they had prior to the patch launching?
Does a robber give you the day of his robbery in advance? Sometimes emergencies happen. And sometimes this means a game has to undergo emergency maintenance to fix problems to uphold the quality for the customers.
When this weeks Tuesday a new game patch went live in Destiny 2 that unintentionally caused an issue with player progression being reverted and titles being lost, Bungie had to take down the game for almost 8h trying to fix the problem, alongside rolling back player data on the servers from backups in the end.
In case you haven’t realized yet, since last week there was an issue report that World of Warcraft wasn’t working properly for MAC-OS users. The maintenance yesterday morning was probably to fix that problem so those players can ALSO play again, not just you.
Maybe step down from your selfish ignorance-horse and accept that sometimes things are the way they are and nothing works perfect in life.
There’s plenty of time to announce it before they pull the servers down. They know about the issues before it’s even launched on the EU servers due to the US servers getting patches a whole day before us.
yes they do. Even with my automatic login i can see it briefly on the left side when I log in. On the launcher its stated too. In char selection on the left side too.
An airdrop directly into the room through the window, with a personal masseur in it, that whispers it softly into ones ear
