If the queue system allows me to choose specific things before i queue for it like:
blood lust & combat resurrection
faction & race & class & role
rating & item level
Then I will be all up for adding it. But if the queue system is just a copy paste from the existing one then I am against it because I want to have full control over my group and who am I inviting.
I think I am missing your point, could you explain it further?
Because those whoâd buy boosts to get high rating while not having the capability to get there themselves, would not be able to carry a team. And if itâs a matchmaking queue system, I think the better players who have legitimately earned their higher rating would rather not carry people but play with others at the same skill level when they queue up. You probably mean something else Iâm overlooking entirely.
I think it could work for lower keys but my guess is it would fall apart at the higher ones. The chance of simply wasting your time would go up exponentially there.
Content being made more accessable and content being designed easier are not mutually exclusive
In an interview with ghostcrawler he said the intended tuning goal pre release was for lfr to be easier than normal mode. But once lfr released they had to nerf it because they failed to realize a raid without a raid leader to explain strategies and kick problem players has to be even easier.
I mean not really. Lfr was overtuned for their intended goal for it. Nerfing that content doesent mean it was due to community pressure.
And either way cataclysm was in 2010. Blizzards philosophy of the game has way changed since then.
We have queueable competitive content right now in solo shuffle when blizzard used to be heavily against that and we have hard pve content like the mage tower which has stayed difficult even after community outcry about it.
although i must say it isnât too much different in lfg.
I mean the DK you had has probably a high rio and will continue to climb as he sooner or later get lucky with keys.
Now that he has a high rio, you would invite him and still have a clown fiesta going on in your keys.
I even had people 2.9k rio, 82394723094 keys timed and they still played like complete bozos that did 50k dps.
How? Well I donât know. Boosted, content too easy, no ideaâŠ
Probably because most people still carry dead weight till the end of the dungeon as the timer is big enough that 2 dds can carry the dmg of a potato.
Solo queue M+ will be absolutely terrible for that matter.
I queued 5 heroics yesterday on my tank and got reminded how bad people are. In heroics that is fine, but those people will queue for m+ then.
I tanked and naturally pulled big, so I ended up with 130k dps and the next dps (sitting at ilvl 410 btw) clocked in at 20k⊠yeah well. not an exception but all 5 dungeons i did were like this. (as said that is fine for heroics and I donât mind)
The mage tower is queue-able solo content though, it has little to do with actual instanced content.
Solo shuffle is already showing its underlying issues as there are hour long queues because barely any healers join in on it. PvP is also something where player view on Blizzardâs interference is different, as there it is not your group comp that is necessarily going to lose you the round, but rather your own personal skill level. The view on PvE is entirely different.
Queue-able group content can never be too challenging, as the skill level of the general playerbase does not guarantee a certain level of success chance (if I recall it right that was 33%).
Regardless of Blizzardâs design philosophy changing or not doesnât change much. I doubt they will ever make queue-able challenging PvE content, as already the forums tend to explode whenever we get a boss in LFR that does not fall over on its own. You can see it from the previous LFR tier, where all people had to do is to not get knocked off of the platform by Razsageth, or to use an on-use ability on Nâzoth.
Your ratings are a bit off, 2k Mythic plus rating is like timing all 15âs, there is no way that it should be as high as 23, that key would deplete as fast as the game mode would.
was a suggestion since solo shuffle is the best part they added in season 1. rate pvp feels better than the m+ system it feels old and outdated. Sitting 2 days waiting to be invited to a key.
It feels like the dungeon system for m+ is outdated.
Most people I talk to seem to hate the iteration of Solo Shuffle we have, myself included. I queued for like 2 shuffles this season and doubt I will do more. The wait times are atrocious since healers are not queuing, the only way to solve that is to reduce the micro-CCâs and burst so healer becomes fun again, right now your partner can die if you get ccâed for a GCD.
The premise of Solo Shuffle is good, but the execution is lacking
