I don’t know my rio, but I cleared up to M+4 and some heroic bosses, it matters not. Hard content is for minority and UI must be adapted for majority.

No, it’s not. Old UI was very good. New UI is not as good, but acceptable. Addons must be disabled.

Classic UI is garbage
Ive been using Bartender and Zperl (formerly Xperl) since god knows how long. The Blizzard default AI has always been absolute garbage, their new “edit mode” was an even bigger pile of garbage where it appears whoever designed it, spent 5 seconds on ElvUI and thought yeah we can copy that.
And thats all they did. Spent 5 seconds looking at ElvUi being configured and no further. The options in edit mode are absolutely pathetic.
I’ll stick with Bartender and Zperl, at least the designers of those add on’s know what configuration is.

Addons are a response to poor readability.
If it was possible to look at the standard UI and, in particular the game world, to glean the information you need people wouldn’t be installing addons.
Examples include:
- Healers entirely depend on 20 CD’s, which aren’t shown in the UI → People install an addon
- Healers mainly depend on mana, which is shown in the UI → People do not install an addon
- You fill the game with important procs and fail to provide sound effects or context clues in the game world, people install addons
- You pull a vanilla WoW and give all procs clear and distinct sound and drastically reduce their amount, people do not install addons
- You make obtuse bosses that are hard to read, people install a bossmod
- You make the boss very readable, people do not install a bossmod
And on and on it goes.
Some things have to be prevented - I am especially against inter-client communication, but by and large most of the stuff that’s going on is just people desperately trying to understand what they’re looking at.

Saying “blizzard should add it” is the single stupidest argument you could make.
A game that can be modded and have addons made by the community will always be better than one that can’t have that. Guess you don’t have enough IQ to figure that out

It is a game design desicion, just like we had mods at least since warcraft 2 and starcraft. Blizz likes it we can customize stuff and mod.

Nah these losers are convinced that addons are somehow ruining their “gaming experience” when in reality they just suck and their unimaginative brains can’t figure out a different reason why they suck.

I think the customisation aspect of addons is amazing. I also think that if aspects of the game are not legible to a player, and they need an addon for it, something went wrong with the design. In that case I’d rather have Blizzard reconsider how they can communicate this information effectively to their players, and making certain addons redundant that way.

The funniest thing is that before it was shameful to have this kind of addon, but now it’s normal, even in tournaments it’s allowed (whereas before not), to tell you how much blizzard doesn’t care
in pve it’s the same, download the m+ module and raid, you really have the impression of playing another game, it’s literally a cheatcode and players defend that…pathetic
(the addon even warns you of the abilities before the spell is cast, so you can pre ams if you are targeted for example, if you play dk (which cancels the damage of the spell))
or put this kind of basic addon in the game, or remove them entirely, it’s absurd.

Whats next? Make everyone use the same model monitors to play WoW on? Otherwise people with bigger or multiple monitors might have an “unfair advantage”? 
Blablabla another person who wants to ban addons without understanding the deeper issues of the core design. It’s like advocating for better public healthcare and education but also not wanting to pay taxes or something.
Even with the more recent UI changes since DF, good luck tracking all the different procs every class gets in order to play better.
Want to advocate for base UI getting better and clearer? I’m all for it. Since DF I don’t use Elv UI anymore and I’m very pleased about it. But until every ability, proc and whatnot can be very intuitively be tracked by the base UI without the need of addons such as WA, I will have WA installed.

still after all of these years i play simple without any combat addons.
and im very very good at the game but when i say i dont use pvp or combat or helper addons everyone laugh at me and saying how can you play without addons.
all im saying is that blizzard knows their players goood thats why they dont care.
in this very topic look how some people comes and say nooo addons are good.

because they are not good enough at the game to play without helper and cheat.
blizzard knows this and they will never fix the flaws that addons are fixing instead of the game.
