Sorry to say this but
The game isn’t perfect, it need addons, addons are made by the fans or the community
- Addons in pvp are like super usefull and unfair if you dont use them too
They only show the Enemy Cooldowns, Bigger Casting bars and More Clear - some important buffs - as For PVE it only show you the script for the incoming damage and mechanics and im sure you’re not supposed to see the script but uh blizzard allow it

It is a little bit difficult needing to press a defensive when you do not know when that incoming damage is actually happening. Not to start about pro-active healers.

Bad player with addons = Not so bad

Well… there different types of addons
For example addons that customize UI are perfectly fine as the only thing that does is that is make the game look as you like.
There are addons that track market for item prices etc , those too are helpful and not really game breaking as they just record stuff and help you in comparing prizes etc.
And there are addons that improves gameplay in a way that without them it is almost impossible to play that game as they provide massive help like big wigs boss mod , some WA mods etc.
For me the worst kind of addon is RIO as it categorize player based on a number. This had been happening before in lesser degree, by linking gear or later on ilvl, but now RIO is the only thing that matter when it comes to invite a player.
In the end if you don’t use specific addons you will have a disadvantage against others that use and since game is becoming more and more noob friendly and no one wants to invest time and effort in learning , people would stop playing.
It is so bad that it actually isn’t an addon anymore but build in the game.

You can mouseover any player in the open world and see their ‘RIO’-score and highest key in the info-box.

That’s done by the addon, that’s not default behavior.
I do not even have the addon since bfa. It is for sure default behavior.
I assure you it’s not.
I had the installed during DF to see scores and keys, and uninstalled it with TWW.
I do not see any rio scores or key progress on people.
RIO score is blizzard score. It is there. It is even on our armory.
It’s on our armory yes, but not on tooltips etc.
