About why you are afraid to make essence account-wide? As I can see so many complain about it on EU and US forum, still no response yet. It feels like you punish people to do all essences over and over again when you have alts.

they have told us why they dont make them account wide, long time ago. Ion said he feels like essences are on the same level of importance as gear and he wouldnât want to make gear account wide either (something like that).
Tbf, it ends in probably 6-8 months, which means it could potentially keep 2-3 alts solidly busy if you wanted to roll them.
But that is a pretty flimsy argument. I could stay busy for that time by leveling every other class to 120 and getting busy in M+ with friends, if only there wasnât a wall of essences that makes me completely non-viable vs a player who has them.
So yes, I would love to hear an explanation of exactly what the thought process is in denying the single most obvious request the community is making. What stats are driving it, what reasoning lies behind it? If we know, then we can either say âoh yeah, good pointâ, or tackle the argument logically.
Failing to give reasons for decisions that seem to penalise players for playing is a really good way to make them log off once their minimal daily chores are done.
Soo many thread⌠Thereâs already such many post written about account wide essence, reunite it all and make 1 big topic. Itâs easier to be heard with 1 big topic than multiple topic.

Tbh, I think itâs useful that so many threads are made. I hope itâs happening on the US forums too.
Itâs easy to ignore one explosive thread, but when every other topic is complaining about a single issue, it really does require a determinedly ignorant mind to not take any action.
Many tiny topic isnât that much explainative. And got way less arguments.
If all argument are reunite in 1 topic, they canât miss utility of this.
Tbh if Blizzard donât want to listen it wonât matter either way.

The entire request for account-wide essences hinges on how demoralising it is to hit 120 and then be faced with weeks of grind before your character feels relevant. Thatâs it. There are no other points to player requests for this feature.
So tbh Iâm all for stuffing it down the devsâ throats that the situation is unsatisfactory, and that all the âretention mechanismsâ currently in play are actually reducing my online time. Theyâre trying not to listen, so the players must raise their voices.
Probably, and now I will be a cynic, because some analysts have found out that not making the essences account wide has actually resulted in an increased average playtime. And because more playtime is better it wonât be changed.
People play less because of no essence account-wide if I am right? I am sure we would play more if it was account-wide, of course we dont want to farm essences again once you have all on main.
Just leave it if they still afraid to say anything about essence accoint-wide. I hope they dont make it mistake again in Shadowlands. It seems they dont listen to us anymore since TBC.
I have decided to give up on most of my multitudes of alts. I canât be arsed to farm essences over and over again for each of them. Instead once I have collected stuff I want, which atm is the void edge illusion from sw vision, I will cancel sub and wait for SL (this isnt âim canncel blizz plz!â). I will have merely ran out of stuff I can bother to do. Very few things in current patch is such content.
I canât even make alts viable without huge grinds so no point playing them either.
Jimusah already answered why blizzard and/or Ion dont want to make them account wide. That said i think its wrong of them to think so, while there is a serious power proggresion much like with what you have in gear , the aquisition is more akin to achievmnets and essenses are in an unfortable spot somewhere between the two. I find it funny how they can trow high-ish ilvl gear at us so easilly on our alts but when it comes to time gated unispired grinds its âessences are on the same level of importance as gear and he wouldnât want to make gear account wide eitherâ. Going trough the procces of gearing up my characters is fun to me thats why i have them, doing rep grinds and leveling nazjatar followers isnt.
There was a reply to account wide essences months ago in an interview with game director Ion.
Their stance is that access to content should be made account wide but character progression should stay restricted to the character itself. As essences are pretty much trinkets it would the similar to making gear account wide
