“Let it be known across all the races who hold loyalty to the mighty Horde.

For under the blood-red skies of Quel’Thalas, where the golden springs of Eversong flow eternal, a great contest is soon to unfold. Held in the Western Quarters of Silvermoon City.

On the twenty-seventh day, through to the twenty-ninth, the proud spires of Silvermoon shall stand tall, their banners aloft in the warm summer winds, a call to all who would answer. For in this gathering, no mere festivity shall take place, but a tournament—a trial by combat and wit, a proving ground for the boldest among you.

Glory shall prevail!

Silvermoon offers rich rewards to those who succeed in this event, donations have been accumulated from the wealthiest of patrons and supporters within the City. The tournament shall celebrate the countless years of unity between the races of the Horde. There will be an opening feast for all to attend, held at the Falconwing Tavern.

And to contestants, let us see if your steel rings true, or if your courage will fail beneath the shadow of Silvermoon’s mighty walls.

Synopsis:

What? The Grand Thalassian Tournament is an event meant to celebrate and show unity between the races of the Horde, hosted by the proud Sin’dorei of Silvermoon City. The event has received significant donations from the Thalassian Concord. All races are welcome to attend and participate! Just make sure to sign up please through either discord, or the forum page! There are going to be three main contests, the Joust, the Melee and the Archery contest.

Where? The event will be hosted around Falconwing Square in the Ruins of Silvermoon. Rather than Sunstrider Isle. The specific areas will be provided on a map within the discord.

When? 24th October - 26th October, Hosted Roleplay will commence at 8:00pm Server Time, each contest will occur in a certain location. Though the casual “hub” for the event will be Falconwing Square.

Why? This is a repost of Valorian’s event known as “The Grand Thalassian Tournament”, just to get a handle and show on numbers. I personally think any initiative is brilliant, especially on the Horde. And just to clarify, there’s been a few adaptations made which include the date most importantly.

How? There will be three contests, each with their own individual flare. Which will consist of the Melee, the Joust, and the Archery, these will be dice based events. The Archery contest will be decided by contestants, whether they would prefer mounted archery, or simply targets. Please read the imgur link, there should be helpful information about how the games will operate.

Thursday, 24th October
8pm Server Time
Events: Opening Ceremony, the Melee and the Feast

8pm The evening shall open with the ceremony, then engage with the Melee, which shall be a great contest, between all races of the Horde as they fight for allegiances or betrayals in an enormous mosh-pit.

Following the Melee, held in Falconwing Square Inn, contestants and jovial revelers alike will all be invited. There will be a plethora of elvish gourmet dishes, and the finest summer-spring wine from the vineyards.

Friday, 25th October
8pm Server Time
Events: The Archery Contest, and Gezardo’s Gambling

8pm the evening shall begin with the Archery Contest, which will be decided by the contestants whether they would rather shoot targets, or mounted archery duels.

. (After the contest) Rumour has it, in a very un-elven manner, a rogue Goblin plans to hold a gambling contest, drinking games and perhaps even an underground brawl.

Saturday, 26th October
8pm Server Time
Events: The Joust, and the Closing Ceremony

The Joust will be an event open to all of the Horde races, sporting their traditional regalia and mounts. Following the draws, the riders will charge at each other in subsequent tilts, seeking to score points or unhorse their opponent.

After the Joust, the Tournament will close with rewards and the closing ceremony.

Locations for each event will be held around the Ruins of Silvermoon, at 8pm we will all gather at Falconwing Square then by a designated host, the contestants will be lead to the grounds.

Like with the previous post, Moonlit Sandfox is offering to sell food and drinks from their custom Tavern wagon once more if the blood elves will have us.

I will leave it to our members to sign up individually for any activities they wish to participate in, unless there exists an option for a guild to claim a few spots?

Update 1.02

Thank you all for the sign-ups, keep them coming! I want to quickly thank the Wandering Lampost for volunteering to offer catering. And @Keento, you’re more than welcome to join should you wish. Tryssanah will be hosting the feast, so a massive thanks to her for volunteering, if anyone wishes to provide catering, or food stalls, I would definitely recommend reaching out to either Tryss or myself.

All sign-ups will be added to sign-up list. A brief note, which for abit of flavour RP, there will be a stall for which the draws for the games will be held.

Argent Tournament jousting would have been perfect for this. Love the idea though might come along and spectate.

Hello! Glad to see that the Tournament is back! Looking forward to it!

Are the traders allowed to set their stalls? If yes, Solstice Bazaar would like to set their stall on one of the days. Friday would be the best but Thursday would also work, if it is preferrable.
