Cannot login to battle.net or access eu.battle.net

Hello,

Since the DDOS attack on 7-8 Sep I am not able to login to battle.net or access eu.battle.net. I play from Turkey and when I use a VPN, I can login just fine.

This also seems to be the case for people connecting from Turkey as I have found out at downdetector com’s map

How can I resolve this ?

UPDATE: Seems to be working now for me.

Same situation for me, connecting from Italy: I played without problems until yesterday night, but this morning I’m unable to connect.

On the down detector live map, Turkey seems to be mostly red while most other areas have solved their issues. With a good vpn, connecting and playing would not be a big issue and the ms wouldn’t hurt so much. It would be a good temporary solution. However, Blizzard in its terms of service strongly advises against using VPN. A login from a seemingly different location within short time frames may flag your account for suspicious activity and you may get suspended. This may result in not being able to login for much longer that simply waiting for it to be fixed. Add to that the hassle of having to recover your account.

Unless a Blizzard representative comes here and officially gives the go ahead to temporarily using a vpn, there doesn’t seem to be anything to do but wait.

I have the same problem and when i try to open a blizzard site i get this url: nydus. battle. net also from turkey

I have the same problem from Turkey. Just a heads up i guess? However, my IRL friend who is also from Turkey is able to play the game as we speak and didn’t have any issues at all to begin with. I dont know what is the problem here, when some people are not able to connect while others in the same region have no problem at all, even though this looks like mostly a regional problem.

Edit: To me it looks like a Superonline problem, just saying :upside_down_face:

Can confirm. Experiencing the same issue from Turkey.

Can login from tethering phone but can’t seem to access anything when I’m connected through my ISP(superonline fiber)

Same issue, any VPN suggestions?

same +1 :sob::sob::sob::sob:

Hey all,

Could you all please reply with the following information, so we can have this looked into:

■ Date/time you first experienced the issue :
■ City and country you are connecting from :
■ ISP (Internet Service Provider you use) :
Traceroute (created while experiencing the issue) :
Pathping (created while experiencing the issue) :
WinMTR test (created while experiencing the issue) :

If you are not able to go through the links above, please follow the below steps to run a WinMTR:

  1. Download WinMTR from the project’s site.
  2. Extract the contents of the .zip file to your desktop.
  3. Open the WinMTR folder, then open the folder that matches your version of Windows (32-bit or 64-bit) and run WinMTR.exe.
  4. Enter the IP address you want to test in the Host field. Run a WinMTR test to each of the following IPs: 185.60.112.157 - 185.60.112.158 - 185.60.114.159
  5. Click Start , then launch the game you’re testing. If no connection issue is found in the first 5 minutes, restart the test.
  6. When a connection error occurs, play for at least 5 more minutes, then click Stop in WinMTR.
  7. Click " Export Text " and save the .txt file to your desktop. Name this file WinMTR.
  8. Post the contents of your WinMTR.txt in your reply here, highlight the text in your response and press the </> button or place the details between `` to make the text Preformatted text.

Have a few seconds to spare? Let me know how I’m doing!

■ Date/time you first experienced the issue : Between 11:00-12:40 (GMT+3), ongoing
■ City and country you are connecting from : Ankara / Turkey
■ ISP (Internet Service Provider you use) : Turkcell Superonline

The links you provided for Traceroute, Pathping, and WinMTRtest do not work. Thus, I am unable to follow those instructions. I mean, obviously the links work but I am unable to access them probably due to the same issue that is keeping me from logging in.

■ Date/time you first experienced the issue : Around 10:00 (GMT+3), still ongoing
■ City and country you are connecting from : Ankara / Turkey
■ ISP (Internet Service Provider you use) : Turkcell Superonline aswell
