Can't keep n'zoth's curse?

When i choose to keep the curse nothing happens? do i have to hand it in somewhere else or just dont finish the quest at nailok? what do i do when i want to keep the curse?

Same for me, I choose “I want to keep it” and nothing happens, when I choose 1st option it says “Are you sure?”.
Well I guess there is a possibility we just ignore the quest, because… we are riot ones, but dunno :smiley:

If I understand correctly, you’re not supposed to get a follow-up from keeping the curse. You should be able to see when other players have got the curse, but that’s all it should do.

If you want to be invited to fight N’Zoth, you have to link the curve, showing that you defeated old gods on heroic, otherwise sorry - NO.

From what I saw on Wowhead there is no quest completion and you don’t get the toy if you choose to keep the curse.

Yeah I saw that too … but it just feels rather unfinished and, at least in my case, bugged. The final quest requires you to complete two parts … the first part is “Nailok met”, the second is to have the curse removed.

I’d expect, considering the way the other similar quests work in the rest of the quest chain, that when you got close enough to the NPC, the first part of the quest would show complete … but it doesn’t. It doesn’t even show that you’ve met him when you talk to him.

Also considering previous questlines where you have a “choice” at the end … at the very least once you click on the choice you’ve made, it should acknowledge in some way that you’ve made that choice. Even if they have to say “quest failed”.

If Blizzard have given us the option, in the NPC interactions, to make a choice, there should be a result of the decision you make, irrespective of which choice you make - even if it’s a different result for each option. Heck … if they want to give the illusion of choice, but actually no choice, they could just do something that involves the NPC forcing you to go down the path they want you down, if you choose anything different.

There just shouldn’t be no result at all.

And you simply don’t complete the quest that says it will remove the curse. That’s all, you do nothing. :slight_smile:

But there’s literally a choice where you get to pick EITHER to remove or not to remove. I’m pretty sure there’s a response if you pick remove … so picking the other option should also elicit a response … even if it’s “I’m sorry that’s not a choice you are allowed to make”.

Instead … you click on “don’t remove” and nothing happens. No NPC response, no change to quest, nothing. It doesn’t even acknowledge that I’ve MET the NPC, and that’s one of the quest requirements.

Actually, Alliance doesn’t appear to have the option. Horde does. Just did it on both sides earlier.

It will be interesting to see if it makes anything different further down the line for those who decided to keep the curse.

I don’t do spoilers and like to see the story unfold when it’s in the live game :slight_smile:

Rejected it on this, got the toy. Didn’t remove it on my Ally lock and…well the quest just hangs there. Shall try with an alt either side and doing the opposite later and see if there’s any difference.

Ofcourse nothing happends if you choose to keep it…
They could at least added a little skit when the respective NPC’s go;
Ay Ay Ay, How can i reach thees heroes!?

But then again, keeping the quest open makes youa ble to change your mind later. :roll_eyes:

In that case, what should happen is that the quest completes with the NPC saying “come back when you change your mind” … and the NPC regains the quest that you just need to pick up again from him to activate.

But if alliance don’t even have that option … perhaps it’s just something they considered doing and decided against … but forgot to remove it before it went live, for horde.

Does the eye permanently stay on your head if you accept the curse?

I just want to know whether if I accept the curse the big ugly eye stays on my head forever:) and if so, transmog hell:)

just taken it on a char and so far the eye seems to be there for the duration. Tried transmogging over it without success. Not keen on spending however long I must looking like some sorta cyclops.
