I said nothing about numbers.
Hell, even if every single player was playing PvP, it would STILL be a side activity in WoW unless the devs change that stance. But guess what? I don’t want them to change that stance.
Not in development time, resources and the dev’s priority, no it never was.
Great. I hope it reduces some more in Shadowlands. Maybe some day it will be gone and the devs can use 100% of their time and resources on PvE.
I get that you would like an activity that you enjoy to be developed better/more. I just really disagree with that because I don’t think PvP makes WoW a better game. Quite the contrary.
Then you probably dont think we should have 2 factions either? If it is straight PVE we should all be alliance maybe and only play vs PVE content together, or?
OK, I completely agree that the vast majority of dev time was spent on PVE rather than PVP, PVE was always first and while PVP did some minor harm to PVE at times, PVE harmed PVP way worse and way more frequently.
If that’s what you meant by PVP being a side game, we are in agreement.
I would point out though that usually what is the main game vs what is a side game is in the eyes of players and not developers. If we go with that normal definition of the term “side game”, then PVP was not it.
So, I guess we whould remove pet battles as well then?
Seriously, this arrogant and dismissive stance alongside outright hate in this thread alone is absolutely and completely disgusting and I will not bother to sugar-coat it. Even if it is a side thing…what’s your freaking point?!
(Outside of the fact that if I want a PvE-game I would play Final Fantasy 14. The game’s better in nearly every regard when compared to WoW nowadays.)
I’ve already stated that I don’t think it will ever be removed. What I made clear is that I just don’t want PvP to be treated as a main activity in terms of developer time and resources. That’s all.
What I stated above. That’s my ‘freaking’ point.
I disagree. I’ve played that game and absolutely hated it.
