Because T5 Eye of the jailer keeping me from doing the last part of “Focusing the eye”
any way around it or do i have to wait until tomorrow?
Got to wait till tomorrow, or get someone to help you complete it while you try to take minimal damage [Disc Priest shield helps a lot against the DoT and 100% healing debuff].
Though I was under the impression the Jailer’s Eye was gone in 9.1? [I’ve not played wow since March].
Needs a quest to be done for that I think.
Yeah you get eye removed with story quest. Just completed it.
As with if you can still get it removed todays with tier 5 on you i gues depends if you can get a priest to help you. Think shields still work to absorb dot from eye?
Same problem, I made a thread about it in the quests forum, it’s super frustrating Stuck at chapter 3 because of the jailer's eye (Don't do the maw until you've done story quests!).
It’s kind of natural to do the weekly maw quests and it feels bad being punished for having done them by being stuck and unable to continue the story while other people can…
timegating… they added so many layers to timegating this expansion that some of it will bleed over and still take effect on older content… nothing u can do about it really just poor game design my a team of people who lacked insight to see how it would effect the game later on.
for what it’s worth I just managed to do it, by going there as quickly as possible and doing bits of the quest, teleporting out before dying. Then late rrealised it’s quicker to just die and respawn and get your body back.
After that there’s a boss, really hard to do with the debuff but I eventually managed to after 2 attempts when all the spears dropped at once (dunno why?) and using all of them + aoeing the eyes a bit triggered the cutscene.
Then I turned in etc as fast as possible, and the eye of the jailer was gone. I still had the 10 stack debuff though so I litrerally died while I was in the scripted flight out of the way, but it was fine as I landed in Korthia and the actual death sound/;animation happened at that point and I could respawn and get my body back.
So it’s a mess but kinda doable if you’re willing to torture yourself
I also switched to tank spec to be able to survive a bit longer during the boss fight
Premade group sorted it for me, managed to start the event just before dying, 2 other ppl in grp had the same problem… bad game design indeed.

This qeust is so easy its not bugged not in a million it is bugged people are just bad at the easiest game ever made, so yes casuals have ruined the game immo
