Can't resub - Internal Server Error 500

No matter what I do, I keep getting the same error (Internal Server Error 500) after trying to buy a subscription.
Tried removing my payment methods, different browsers, providers etc - nothing works.
Any solutions?

Hey Xhamarkxus,

Have a look into this article, and follow the steps that are mentioned.

If you still have this problem however, you might wish to contact our support team.

Thanks for the ultra fast reply. I already did everything I could (went through all past forum posts and tried everything suggested), with no luck. I just wrote a ticket and I’m waiting a response.

workaround:
while logged into your battle.net account, and seeing the “500 - server error”, try to input the following into the address bar:

https://account.battle.net/games

for subscriptions or

https://account.battle.net/security

for authenticator

worked for me. hope this helps for someone else too.

It’s a bug of some sort. Dozens of people are getting it (including me). See https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/game-bad-server-no-work/325425/
But we have nowhere to report it to.

I contacted support who said they are receiving reports about this and working on a fix. To keep an eye on the US bug report forum for more info.

Well, I think theres something seriously wrong at the core of Blizzard right now.

With the http:500 errors, the battlenet app constantly redownloading errors, and my own, where battlenet claims I have 19hrs gametime, but the game says it’s expired (it has expired, the app is just wrong).

All this doesn’t inspire confidence, nor does the absolutely generic and botlike responses from the blues, who seem absolutely incapable of admitting that yes, something is wrong at the moment.

I think Im off to steam to buy a new game instead of resubbing this month, until they pull their heads out of their bums and start fixing things.

Cant unsub - Error 500.
Done all your crap.
Issue is your side.

Sendt a refund request just in case.
Anything else I should do while you lift your inept asses?

I was going to suggest trying another browser but it seems I get this message no matter what I try when trying to access my account settings.

Hopefully it’s something they can fix soon.

A fix is needed asap. Can’t post normal lfg messages because blizzard asks for a phone number? Like this has to be fixed within hours.

i also have this problem, as do a bunch of people on the NA forums, it also wont let me send mail between my characters, says i have parental controls enabled when i never enabled it.

I have exactly the same problem

I came back to WoW yesterday to try it out again - thankfully I was able to unsubscribe a few hours later once I had realised nothing much had changed. Since yesterday afternoon though I have got the error 500 message despite disabling all blockers etc - cache clear - different browser. This is not an error caused by the clients PC its bad code on the webpage itself.

The account status page loads - you see it for a fraction of a second and then you get the Error 500 screen. They have done something.

My account appears for about half a second then I get the error.

It doesn’t seem to be everyone, my account pages are absolutely fine…

I have this problem too

Yes, mine too.
I don’t know why Shammoz is so honoured
I can’t work out where, if anywhere, this can be reported …

Tech support?

There used to be a website forum but it disappeared.

Between this and my launcher updating all the time, something seems amiss.

I have also encountered the same problem, that quick flash of your account details before it disappears and the error screen. I followed an old thread (2020) and did the same as Dalaore

Still receiving the error.

There also used to be a battle.net forum which I can’t find a link to any more.
The best I can find is to make a ticket here - https://eu.battle.net/support/en/help/product/services/316/322/solution - though it’s not really a ticket that’s needed - just a way to let Blizzard know quickly that there’s a problem
