Can't use my wow token

Hi, so i’ve been out last night when my game time ran out and today in the morning i came back to play the game i realized my game time was expired.
i tried to login to character loading screen where you can use ur wow token in the bag and be able to activate it but right now it won’t even let me go there at all. it says i need active game time to play the game!!
is there any option to use the wow token now since it won’t let me go to the character screen !?

If you’re unable to get to the character selection screen at all, it typically means there is a region mismatch between where you’re playing from and where your account is registered, and you’ll want to check out this page for more info about how to address it:

  1. If you are using a VPN, disable it.
  2. Make sure your Battle.net account information is accurate. If outdated, you should update the registered name and country on your Battle.net account.
  3. Make sure your payment method information is accurate. We recommend that you remove the payment method from your account and add it again.

Hello I am facing the same issue.
I returned for the new patch and the character screen won’t allow me to use one of the six tokens I had in my inventory when I stopped playing a couple of months back.
I can provide screenshots of my inventory where the tokens are shown if needed.

This issue appears to be caused by Veteran accounts currently behaving like Starter account, which we’re currently investigating.

Same problem. Got tokens in my character bag, but can’t activate game time.
The support ticket still has no answer.

I’m afraid that we don’t have an ETA, but it’s being investigated at the moment.

If you bought The War Within, you should have no issue accessing the content (if you have game time on your account). The issue is with inactive accounts (no game time), not being able to chat with your guild, and not being able to buy a WoW Token.

Please do not open a ticket, game masters are unable to purchase or use WoW Tokens for you.

Gamemasters can provide 1 hour or 1 day of game time, to use the token in my bag?

Having same issue. My TWW account turned into Free Trial account and I´m unable to purchase wow token with in-game gold.

Can a Game Master give 5 minutes of in-game time to log in and activate a token?
Reddit forums say they used to do it before. (2 years ago)

I don’t believe that game masters do that anymore since we’ve added the ability to use WoW Tokens in your inventory, directly from the character selection screen (and yes, I do understand that you’re unable to do that right now, our developers are trying to fix this as soon as possible).

Hello, I had the same problem, bought token in auction and saved it on my main, then my subscription was inactive for 1.5-2 weeks. Was unable to use token on character selection menu yesterday.
I did solve my problem: I login on my alt character 19 lvl, wait a little (checked my game settings) and then go to character selection menu, then popups banner that I can use token and activated it.

Hope it helps anyone like me.

I have two tokens on different realms each of which are not being detected on character select once logged into the those realms after game time has run out.

Ok update, finally found a work around if anyone else get this issue. Create a new character on the realm that has the token. Once in game wait 5 minutes then logout to character select screen at this point go to your character with the wow token and select. At this point the wow token will be detected allowing you to restart the sub.
