Hol up. This is not about the rediculous drop rate. I tried getting the quest item to drop as a horde, since it was stated on old wowhead and thotbot comments that it could. After hours of killing murlocs (well over 500) as a high level character and getting my bags full of green items, I think it is safe to say that, at the moment, this item can not drop for horde, while it should be able to. I reported it ingame, but I feel it might get overlooked since I don’t think many people will go out of their way to try and get it on a horde character.
First time hear that both sides have different droop tables.
what does this mean? :o
you are saying that some kind of item does not droop for Horde, when there is no separate droop tables for Horde and Alliance.
unlucky? And i guess your number 500 is more like 80…
Hello Im a day 1 WoW player and I can assure OP the quest item for Captain Sanders Treasure Chest quest certainly dropped for horde players back in Vanilla the usual way killing murlocs in the Westfall coast.
However there is something very very VERY wrong with the drop rates in the current Classic client. I have actually made a thread about it here:
In this case with my level 16 night elf hunter I spent a whole day, from morning to night aside some breaks, killing all the murlocs in Westfall cleaning the whole coast several times myself and didnt get the quest item drop until I was level 19, almost 20. This is something that never happened in the dozens of characters I played in Vanilla.
This and an empty loot drop rate of nearly 80% with some mobs are the issues I try to warn in my post.
Aight so I kept killing and killing. Close to 700 kills but I finally got it. must have been really unlucky.
