/cast [@PlayerName] macro not working?

It seems that macros

/cast [@PlayerName]
or
/cast [target=“PlayerName”]

are not working on Classic. Do you have any idea how to cast spells directly on a certain player without changing (selecting) a target?
/target and /targetlasttarget are changing the target and they are messing up.

Try using @Party#

Unfortunately not working. Also, it would mess up when joining/expanding groups.

IDK, I always used /focus I think which is handy for PvP with friends.

Focus target is not available in vanilla.

And you can’t really do custom focus frames due to changes in TBC and onwards

What about an addon which matches an action bar with a person? Do you know any?

Maybe you need to add the realm name? When you whisper someone it shows the realm name after the name for some reason.

It is the case of retail. On classic the realms are separate.

No on classic too.

This doesn’t work in vanilla, its intended.
