This is such an easy solution.

Bgs are divided into brackets while leveling, so the concept is well-known and accepted.

The only people who’d object to this would be those that feel they’re somehow entitled to faceroll low-geared peeps just because they’ve put in so much ‘effort’ in getting their high ilvl gear in PvE/Arenas.

Man what the hell are you smoking? You havent presented anything at all. All you did was make lousy examples and literally nothing else. You can get better gear than 197. You get it by doing higher rated pvp. Higher rated is higher rewards. If you dont wanna do that, then its your problem

That would work, but queue times will increase a lot. It is simpler to cap all gear in random BGs at 197, or boost honor gear to 210 or so.

Long term, yes, it would be best to separate people of different gear / skill levels. By adding rated solo queue.

The number of people who do random BGs exceeds the number of people who do arenas by a factor of 5-10 at the very least. Just so you know.

I get that logic is not your forte, so I’ll expand.

The only people who are happy with the change are rated PVPers. People who only do random BGs are harmed by the change and the moment they find out that they are harmed, they won’t be happy. Since the number of people who do random BGs is bigger than the number of people who do arenas by a factor of 5-10, it’s people that are happy with the change who are a small minority here.

If you want to see this in action, you can go to the US forums right now. The number of BG people posting on this and being unhappy is big. The happy side is represented by a couple of trolls who pretend to be arena gods. Kind of similar to what is happening in this thread with most of the thread vs you the hero of one-liner nonsense takes.

So pugs that do m+ and easily cleared m+10 during 8.3 think think should have better gear for unrated Bgs and not people that play those daily? Do you think that those m+pugs have really the skill for the gear they get

Damn ppl are angry at bg’s today, more than usually. You’re not allowed to defend any bases or ppl vote you afk for “not doing enough damage”. :poop:

They are farming honor for initial gear and future gear upgrades. Plus there’s nothing else to do. For those who managed to hit max-level, do a couple of the required chores and do 8 M0s, that is. (Being yelled at for defending a base is weird, however.)

Exactly this, your reward for these kind of things should be cosmetic, titles, mounts, access to other BG’s exclusive to higher ranks even. The desire to be able to beat your opponent with much stronger items is something I will never understand, it’s like using codes on a console game for extra lives or playing Monopoly and being banker so you can slip yourself a few extra £ to make the game more easily winnable for you. An embarrassing way to wish to play a game imo.

not gunna lie, having full rank 3 pvp gear and 18% vers with trinket buff and pvp is pretty good, almost grinded cap for the next upgrades. Cant wait for conquest gear then come back and obliterate casuals even more.

Anytime mate. Haha if the last 16 years haven’t taught you anything, you might as well put shadowlands down and pour hopes into the next xpac.

Admittedly, if they implemented scaling again i’d be gutted as besides rating theres no sense of progression. Still mind numbing that you want to be competitive against serious arena players in non-rated bg’s though haha, amazing.
