Gear or no gear, the stories the same, but cheers i’m loving it.
I am curious though, if you are only into casual BG for the fun, why do you care if you are getting obliterated by rated pvp players?
If it doesn’t feel good, then you are already showing signs of competitive thinking, then, by all means - step into arena, take your rated gear and feel free to not allow to be obliterated in casual BGs.
Oh I don’t care, I expect it.
I get obliterated all the time & tbh I’m cool with it, if someone’s a better player they’ll rightly crush me.
It is bothersome, though, that worse players are able to hide behind gear.
I don’t play rated, so this analogy might not work. However… if my ‘best’ took me to 1700 rating, I imagine I’d sit in that bracket until I improved.
If I was permanently facing 2400 in every match from then on, the competitive aspect of playing is lost -& with it, my reason for playing.
Such is the case with random bg’s.
tbh I feel better about myself getting obliterated by better players, than lathering myself up with gear, forming a 10man premade & planting flags in nubs.
No, he’s facing raiders, mythic + and arena players in BGs. Nobody in Mythic 0 face random mythic 12 mobs. Stop the completely inadequate comparisons.
I dont know how you missed my point so badly but ill explain it for you.
He wants to perform as well as end game content players do, without doing said content. The equivalent in terms of PvE is doing the most damage, right? still with me? cool. Now lets say he does a normal dungeon which is the same level content as a non-rated battleground, he wants to be able to do as much damage(or survive longer) as mythic raiders in the same entry level content, to be “competative”.
Now we all play the same game and fully know end game content rewards players in terms of gear and never should a player who does entry level content be able to compete with people who do end game, which is exactly why it is like this, this is infact how the game is right now, the same game you’ve been playing for probably years liek the rest of us.
Now, i hope you understand, if you dont then its fine, i’ll stop wasting my time.
The system is perfectly fine. Take incentive and get into pugs RBG groups. It’s the fastest way to cap. In most instances low MMR RBGs are way easier to win than random bgs. If you keep losing then take incentive and be social - actual play the MMORPG and get on voice and communicate to win.
Some things, my man, are lost causes.
May you have the serenity to accept the things you can’t change.
Strawman, that’s not my position.
It is always nice to See people admitting that is their gear and not skill that will kill me.
Might wanna learn to read before you make big boy claims Mr Casual
Just in case you dont get it the second time around, it doesnt matter if gear is a factor or not, someone like you who doesnt like arena speaks volumes in terms of skill and every single arena player knows it hahaha.
Mate, you are jumping up and down here so much that I checked your armory. The only achievement for 3v3 that you have is 1550.
Stop cosplaying an arena god, you are just a wannabe.
link source on arena god please, if you had just one arena achievement, just one, i might have been insulted haha.
Try again.

That’s a DIFFERENT TYPE OF CONTENT. How many times does this have to be said? Rated PVP and unrated PVP are different types of content. Rated BGs do not have auto-queue. If they did, we wouldn’t be talking. But they do not. Suggesting to do rated PVP to get gear for random BGs is similar to suggesting to do PVE to get gear for arenas.
But this stupid mantra of “just do rated” is repeated so often that I will say one more thing to just completely shut it down forever:
You are talking about low MMR RBGs bla bla bla. Let’s say people go to these low MMR RBGs. But these low MMR RBGs reward low ilvl gear. What, you didn’t know? So, instead of 197, you get, say, 207. Good. But the cap is - what? It’s 226. Still 19 ilvls to go. And it’s going to be readily obtainable from M+, so yeah, you are going to see it in BGs. What do you suggest now? Climb in ratings, right? So, now your suggestion is not just “go low MMR RBGs”, it’s “go RBGs, start from low MMR and climb to high MMR”. Even though people don’t care about rated PVP one bit, they now have not to just visit, but to climb.
But wait, it doesn’t end there either. Do you know how rating systems work? Ratings form a pyramid. High levels of the pyramid are narrow, low levels are wide. Whenever someone goes up, someone else is pushed down, the pyramid remains wide at low levels and narrow at high levels. So, the percentage of people who are going to hit high levels of the pyramid is limited by design. For 226 the limit is going to be less than 10%, slowly increasing to around 20% due to the slow drift up. So, your suggestion of “just go rated” CANNOT WORK for 80% of the players. It just CANNOT, by design.
“Just do rated” in order to get gear for random BGs is not only stupid advice, it demands far more than just chilling in low MMR yolo RBGs, and in the end it does not even work due to the pyramid design.
The only thing that works is PVE.
End of.
Honor gear caps at 190 I think. They nerfed it.
Lets hope that power differences between 190 and 200+ are not BFA levels, so that pvp will be enjoyable for more casual players.
If not, casuals will have the honor of serving as cannon fodder. Or, you know, unsub. Which would not be fun for rated players either, having no one to fight hurts everyone.
the thing is people wont do that. just look at raiding. not enough people were raiding before they added lfr to the game. LFR is the reason blizzard continues creating raids to this day because otherwise raids would be a waste of resources (they are a business after all) since so few people played them.
so with this logic the solution would be a solo rated queue, wich they havent added for some unknown reason.
Let’s have the best pvp gear unlocked through Unrated BG available to everyone to grind. Then, let’s have those pro arena gamers measure their d**** in their virtual ladders.
Problem solved, everybody’s equal and those esport players can have a fair league to climb on without making a mess in unrated bg by just spamming two buttons.
Rated PvP and Unrated PvP is different type of content. Watch out that you do not represent arena players and u insult many of those. I am sure that these pros do not look to smash casuals to show their skills.
Pros in pvp and pve do not try to do inferior content to show who they are.
The mythic raiders will never be like ‘Heck, today let’s pug some heroic raiding to feel better’.
Thanks a lot, you are an outiler.

I haven’t seen any news that they nerfed honor gear to 190 yet.
Anyway, 200+ is 226 and the difference between even 197 and 226 gear is about 30% of the primary stat, 15% of each secondary stat, 43% of the stamina. We have some base stats so the differences on character screens will be a little lower, but not by much. A difference like this is completely insurmountable.
The above does not include differences in conduits - they will also exist, high-ilvl covenants drop from raids / M+ / arenas / etc, but thankfully, at least for now, conduits are less powerful than, say, azerite traits were.
Pvp is pvp. No different content. Pve and pvp is different content. Get this through your thick head

Random BGs have an auto-queue. Rated BGs do not. That’s the key difference, it is absolutely vital, and it has been pointed out to you like ten times.
You are ignoring arguments. That’s called trolling. Next post like the one above is going to be reported.
Pvp and pve are different content. Pvp and rated pvp isnt different content… report me for spewing the truth. Might aswell report all of your posts too now.
