Caution - Spinzy & <dogs> (H) Golemagg EU

Hi All,

Bit of a disappointing post to be writing this evening but sadly one of the most embarrassing and unexpected posts I thought I’d be writing as a caution to avoid Spinzy and ultimately dogs of Golemagg.

To cut a long story short I joined and streamed (I have all the clips and full recording downloaded - I can’t include a link sadly) a world tour GDKP, Spinzy (Warlock) and later I found out an officer of dogs were in the run as pumpers. Limited Agi using melee or ranged within the group so naturally a lot of the items were selling for quite low.

So sadly Spinzy (one of the top 2-3 best geared DPS, consistently 7th on boss fights) decided to start spite bidding on all of the items moving forwards about halfway into the run whilst also flaming others for not outbidding him.

I spoke to his officer whilst in the run who seemed to think his actions were moral but I have several Twitch users in disbelief saying it’s some of the oddest and most embarrassing behaviour in a GDKP they’ve ever seen across playing and watching WoW and GDKP’s for over a decade. Which sadly, I wholeheartedly agree with.

The guild has recently transferred to Golemagg from Thekal and I am told it was for similar occurrences of disrepute on that server too.

(No wonder they are recruiting an Affli Lock) One dog to avoid!

But yeah, a guild and a person to avoid sadly if you want a chilled, enjoyable GDKP.

Peace

So the warlock here… the truth and why he cant upload his full unedited video of the events of the GDKP.

Hunter wearing tbc gear in the GDKP first grim tol drops goes for something like 1k rough… fair enough that is cheap who cares.

2nd one drops it is at 500 gold so i think to hell with it bid it to 600 id rather equip it on the warlock than see it sell for 500 gold. Hunter goes CRAZY and his priest friend also starts going CRAZY. It sells to me for 600. I start getting whispers including along the lines of “id dumpster you in real life” so i thouht know what it is a gdkp. Ill buy what i want. Hunter bis helm dropped i bought it and then proceeded to stand in front of these two apsolute babies and disenchanted them.

Dont join a run as a buyer and expect to be gifted items. I was not the gdkp owner i paid the money to the pot.

So moral of the story cry less and dont get abusive over 600 gold… in wotlk.

Karma is a total Bi###

Taa taa
Cheerio

I can’t upload any links, I wanted to link the Vlog, your parses whilst having 4.9K GS and also the dogs guild page - Otherwise I would have done.

No-one was going ‘CRAZY’, it’s P1 loot at the end of the day. Everyone within the raid and watching stream was in disbelief and laughing at you embarrass yourself during what was a chilled Saturday GDKP initially.

Even the above post shows the sort of person you are, hence why I posted - to let others know to avoid you as a player & person on Golemagg.

this is the vanilla forum, no one cares about wrath. Stay in your GDKP containment zone please.

OP and his friend literally got shat on in the Golemagg discord. It was him against the entire discord.

His friend swapped from a 5k geared rogue to a TBC geared hunter and claimed he wasnt a buyer, but whenever he lost an item on min bid (400 gold) he would throw a tantrum

Wait… you bid on Grim Toll, as a warlock? Are you serious?

Bidding on items not for your spec just to inflate prices in a GDKP is the very definition of scummy behavior.

Moral of the story seems to be not to try and scam people.

It’s a GDKP, anyone can bid on anything and if they pay the most they get it. I don’t get why people are whining about it. If you don’t like it don’t go on GDKP runs.

btw you can put links if you use Preformatted text </>

One more thing, you can’t name and shame people on the forums, and in this case they did nothing wrong.

Personally I believe deliberately bidding to up the ante, even if you can’t use the item yourself and it’s BoP, is just scummy behavior. This is not even Main Spec > Off Spec, it’s like… Spec > Vendor? I dunno even what to call it. It’s such a fundamental aspect of looting that pretty much every system - from Group Loot to Master Looter to DKP to EGPG etc. follows it one way or the other.

I was in a DKP (not GDKP) guild in Classic, and we had systems specifically against this kind of strategic bidding (such as blind bids and people being unable to bid on items outside of their spec, like a mage bidding on Death’s Sting.

But if people would rather be scammed instead, I suppose it’s their choice.
