They can’t stand the fact that classic became more popular than retail, which they thought was simply a case of nostalgia. So if they focus on ruining classic, then perhaps retail will have a chance once more.
But they will shoot themselves in the foot again with it. Because retail has the likable visual appeal for 1 year olds, looks like bright toddler cartoon style, while classic looks more mature. Just look at it.

im so mad about it. I returned 3 days ago and was really enjoying myself. now we have modern day rubbish in classic wow I literally just logged in realised and uninstalled.
