Can’t be bothered to read my posts before replying either I see.
Yeah. Youtube told me so. Not years of playing the game myself before I even knew there were youtubers. It was definitely youtube.
No wait, that’s just you needing it to be youtube so you can vilify it and push your stupid ideas, because how could they possible be stupid if your genius self came up with it, right?
Yes. I do. So that the guilds can be lead and loot distributed much better than it is now, you know, just like it was before master loot was removed.
Unless you want to give everyone guaranteed loot, giving more loot won’t change crap. It’s still going to take weeks before guild members can share loot between each other instead of vendoring it because of stupid trading restrictions.
Loot council still very much exists. It just takes longer for the loot to be tradable. Oh but I guess you wouldn’t know that because if you’ve ever raided in a proper guild that isn’t lead by monkeys with keybaords, you wouldn’t be saying all this crap.
It’s not meant to bring players back. It’s meant to make guild loot distribution less garbage, because since ML got removed, it’s been very, very garbage. Even before your sacred loot nerfs.
Ask members of any semi-serious guild if they’d prefer master loot back. Not the GM, not the officers, the regular members. I guarantee you most will say yes.
So alot of ppl thinks guild ML will be bad. How about just removing the silly restrictions and let it all be tradeable? U get it in your bags and you choose what to do with it, but you can at least trade it away if u want to. Basically how it is now, but instead of having to vendor something that can be used by others, u can trade it away.
I don’t know. I suppose I made a habit of arguing with people who argue about things they know nothing about and assume their ideas are objective truth simply because they came up with them.
That’s also been suggested, but is seen in just as bad a light as ML by the same people. It’s all the same. They want to remove as much player agency as possible and automate everything, because apparently it’s too hard for them to figure out that they’re in a scummy group/guild and therefore nobody should be allowed to make their own choices or be a part of a team.
Actually buffing and nerfing talents/traits/legendaries is another way to force people to change the way they play their class over an expansion, tier sets is clearly not the only way to achiev this and this should be obvious to anyone who played BFA.
Also it’s funny to see people asking blizzard to decide what they should play, proving for the nth time that you don’t like choices in videogames.
Tier sets are not the only way, but they are a good way. They usually don’t interact with talents at all, just baseline spec stuff. It’s much more fun to get a 4set bonus and become a void bolt machine gun for the first few seconds of void form, than it is to spend weeks and months trying to get some stupid domination sockets, then the shards, and then upgrade the shards, and in the end, all it does is give me flat damage increase that I’ll never notice during my gameplay.
Which was somewhat true during 8.1 when they in fact removed useless traits and replaced them with traits that actually changed rotation. Sadly, they haven’t repeated that in 8.2 and 8.3. Essences only made rotation faster, which is good but didn’t changed that much.
The overwhelming majority of tier set bonuses did nothing for your rotation anyway and were merely “you do more damage” and the fact that they changed the traits to make your class play different is exactly what i said about an alternative to sets. It actually proves the exact opposite of what you think it proves.
If Max’s ML suggestion will be implemented i am ready, have saved this topic as pdf, html, made screenshot of this topic, which i will repost to explain how community was gaslighted into it, why the raid participation is dropping and subs arent bouncing up.
Have plenty of both patience and commitment to expose this deJAneracy after same thing has already happened with loot drop nerfs. But some ppl have a complete amnesia how elitists on YT influenced that change.
There’s also a lot of cases where tier sets actually changed the flow of your class, or even how you played it. While there are certainlyy also cases of being a passive % increase, the other is also true.
And some casuals have complete amnesia on how what they celebrated 6 months ago, they’re now blaming on “the evil elitist overlords” because … reasons ?
A lot of youtubers are indeed talking bs about the game but the limit guys points are very much all valid.
I can’t really follow your argumentation and I pretty much disagree with you in every point. If they fix everything in OPs list the game is playable without giving up real life.
Very good point. I remember arguing with certain people during beta that these systems we have now are terrible for everybody, and those same people are now complaining that it turned out exactly how I and many others told them it would. But somehow it’s still our fault (the elitist). Now they’re just looking for different things to blame us for. Basically anything they don’t like has to necessarily be the fault of either a youtuber or whoever they perceive as elitist, and whatever they don’t personally like is definitely the one single thing that’s killing the game.
Sort of, but the key difference is that tier sets were different each tier, but once you craft your legendary in the first few weeks of the expansion, you’re more or less stuck with that for the rest of it.
I get the “having the raid thing” too, but the thing is, I don’t remember having that issue with tier sets. I used to just want to do keys and not raid, but when tier sets were a thing, I actually didn’t mind raiding to get my hands on them. They don’t necessarily need to change my rotation. Just boost in resource generation, change how an ability works slightly, increase a proc chance on something, cooldown reduction… whatever just to spice up the spec just slightly. A different spice every couple months was nice. This way I have once spice and then forget it’s there until I lose it next expansion.
I don’t get why so many people are dismissing Max as just another clueless youtuber. He’s straight up not. He’s just getting judged immediately because he uploaded a video on youtube, which on this forum is the equivalent of murdering a kitten. Most of the time without even watching the video or bothering to check who Max is.
Irrelevant because in Legion we had both tier sets and legendaries.
And the only new legendaries we got were covenant specific, and a lot of those are quite bad and interact with your covenant ability rather than your class or spec.
Not when one of those 4 options is significantly better than the remaining three. Whereas if a tier set is underperforming or is underwhelming compared to other class’ sets, you adjust that one set.
I can’t see why you’d argue against the time we had both legendaries and tier sets and would rather only have legendaries.
If you’re posting a video on YouTube, streaming on twicth even if it’s aboot lore, mogs, mounts, you’re an elitist. If you happen to clear normal raiding, being above 1k8 in pvp and running keys above 5 you’re then an elitist. Elitists are bad. Elitists are the ones thar actually play the game therefore their opinions are irrelevant.
The good ones are the non Mythic dungeons players, the lfr heroes, the rp players that don’t play the game, therefore their opinions are valid.
