Changes to Purchasable Game Time Options for the British Pound (GBP)

Such a di** move from Blizzard …
And why only ppl who pay with GBP ? ( just curious I pay in euros )

I know … they reviewed £ subs once before when they slightly increased them because the pound was doing well but they gave a reason that time. I would guess (absolutely no knowledge) that it’s something to do with Brexit and its being harder to get £ converted or something. Both the European Blizzard offices are in the EU. We won’t be and with no deals with anyone. It’s possibly making Blizzard cautious.

This post feels like a shilling post, idk.

An option is being taken from brexit people here, less freedom about options but I don’t pity, they keep talking about 3rd world countries this, 3rd world countries that, they live in a 1st first country I guess they can afford the sub price now as citizens of a 1st world country :smirk:. Bring em sterlins and pounds to muh boi Kottick, he will fund a charity :smirk:

No, you don’t know because it’s not. I don’t know why they’ve done it, I’m just guessing.
No idea what your second para is about and I’m not going to talk about politics.

They have also made some changes for CAD.

Not taking away the 30 days game time option from Canadian players though just altering the prices of the three existing options.

Hahahaha, you what?

Force people to subscribe for 60 days at a time?

Explain why, and not some sad excuse.

Terrible change, WHY?!

Bunch of ignorant people who can’t even read!

Subscriptions will still be for 30-90-180 days.

THIS IS ABOUT GAME TIME “CARDS”, which many of you don’t even know they exist.

Carry on people!

/Facepalm . Please re-read the News, loud and clear …

facepalm at you, like not all of us like to have direct debit payments automatically taken out of our bank accounts, we like to purchase when we choose.

Feel free to press 1 ( ONE ) more button then, because that’s all it takes if you Subscribe then Cancel.

Go to the blizzard store, click the wow icon, scroll down to services and click on game time.

Before today you could purchase 30 days, 90 days or 180 days and now you can only buy 60 days if you are in the UK. This is unfair! Its a bad move on blizzards part.

It is nothing to do with physical game cards you buy in an actual physical shop.

Same reason you’re clicking few/several clicks to purchase something on the net.

I am not saying that the …move is fine or not. All I’m saying is that as long as you still have an option to purchase 30 days, is all good.

This might be because UK leaving EU after 31 Dec and that there will be additional taxes for Blizzard in UK. If it was for “money” as some …kids around here keep saying, they will have made this change for the entire EU.

Common sense people, common sense!

Oh damn, I was wrong. The change is STILL terrible. Doesn’t matter if it affected the subscriptions of the purchased game time.

I am not sure I understand what they are hoping to achieve, it would seem that they don’t want people to buy game time unless 60 days minimum, but if you actually have a subscription it is still 30 days?

Is this to bolster quarterly figures etc?

There you go!

No worries, we all be wrong …somehow!

@Emje: I am certainly not an expert on this matter, but one thing that did occur to me was that there is a tiny possibility Brexit is altering some limits related to money transfers and/or currency changes and Blizzard wanted an option that either intentionally exceeded or went under that specific limit for that specific transaction type.

Guess they are worried about currency volatility?
