Changes to Purchasable Game Time Options for the British Pound (GBP)

Thank you Trewl.

I tend to take a simplistic view on things and I will admit that math is not my strong point  I was more confused in that if you wish to buy game time then it is now 60 days minimum, so let’s say this is due to Brexit and limits to money transfers and/or currency changes so they need to set a limit. But then if you sub you can do this still for 30 days, so in theory I could subscribe today and then cancel that subscription before the 30 day expiry date, so I am still only paying for 30 days. This is the part which did not make sense to me, but as you say it could be the transaction type which is the key factor.

Ok
so this happened, ok 60 days, so why did they also remove the gift option? As someone who also buys time for another account from one account Why can i no longer gift the game time either?.. Now they really was a stupid move from blizz
I really do wanna know the reason behind that one

I honestly don’t get this. Even if the reason is Brexit why limit the options? It would be more understandable if they had to raise the prices due to taxes.

Seems weird to me.

With Brexit you get no deal with Europe and no deal with Blizzards. You should have accepted Europe agreement about fishing.

I’m asking out of interest I live in the Middle East it doesn’t affect me personally (I buy 6 month subs anyway). So no need to tell me that as If I have anything to do in the matter.

Lol I was joking about Brexit

Again I hardly have any knowledge in the matter so hard for me to tell if it was a joke or not.

Middle of pandemic, possibly another record year, saying thanks to long time customers in the best possible way, right after what they did to Canada. If you are so greedy over another 15% over a service that is already overvalued, can we at least get proper compensation for the unplayable state of your server for the past month? Possibly a little extra to account for the queue times that made me skip a whole weekday?

This is kind of stupid haha
I don’t really care that much since I play for free with WoW tokens anyway but I feel bad for people who don’t have the time to do that lmao

Pure greed.

Call me a complotist but I am willing to bet this is somehow related to brexit, I mean we are right before the end of the transition period and we wouldn’t want our british customers not to buy another month of game time next month due to increase economic incertainty. Why else make such a weird change that only affects the pound for some reason ?

this is a terrible idea

Are you kidding me? So as well as the design philosophy of “How much of the players time can we waste” you now make us pay for more time up front?

Was already on the fence whether to continue my sub. Thanks for the help deciding.

More money for them, more MAU numbers as you got 60 days in theory you’ll be logging in more ect.

Rubbish Americans companies like to charge UK more for the same thing see game prices its 1:1 instead of taking our currency is worth more than the dollar, and those in the EU get it worst paying even more than we do
Look up a GPU price in the USA then convert it to pounds/Euro and see how much they gouge.

Got nothing to do with Brexit since its been going on for ever

I’m telling you now, Blizzard, you need to revert this change for your own good.

Welcome to Brexit

Wait what? For their own good? What’s this? A threat?

If you want 30 days, use your credit card. If you want 60 days , use your Balance.

They are a business company, not a charity. So if they need to pay higher taxes because of Brexit, well
guess who’s going to pay the taxes? UK players of course
