Changes to purchasable game time options

So, sub or pay more for 60 days.

This seems like a horrible idea.

If you can sub, you can sign up for a month, and cancel it straight away so it wont renew.

It is interesting as on the store it is indeed 1p more for 60 days than 2 x 30 days however the post states that it should be the same price for 60 days as 2 x 30 days cost. So it is either a typo in the store or on the post. I would try an experiment but I am one of those shills who pays a 6 month recurring sub.

You just completely lost me.

Iā€™ve been paying for a month at a time for a long time. Due to the current state of the game, I only play for one, maybe two weeks a month, and take regular breaks.
But now I have to pay for two months and if I decide to take a break, I am losing money that I would not have spent previously.

Thatā€™s a really bad investment for me and only benefits Blizzard.

I know the absence of my 12.99 a month wonā€™t make a dent, but with the decline in subscriber numbers and the increase in customer unhappiness, I can only hope more will (or have no choice but to) refuse to accept this new model until Blizzard revises this change as soon as possible.

I love World of Wacraft (iā€™ve always have, it feels like home), but this just makes no sense. I cannot and will not support this.

There are a lot of other games I can play so I have the luxury of waiting for them to realize this was a bad decision, if they donā€™t, so be it. Itā€™s about principle.

Goodluck all!

I donā€™t see a benefit to the customer or even Blizzard with this kind of ā€˜limiting the customerā€™s optionsā€™.

I wanted to buy three months, so now I could only buy two. Is this good business? Itā€™s not fun for me, because now I have to pump more money to buy 2 more, or just leave useless amount of money in the account.

Also, the game time cards are still 20 euros a piece. People who might not know about this change, will be very disappointed when they buy one card and realize itā€™s uselessā€¦

So why even sell 20 eur cards, if you canā€™t use a single card? Thatā€™s just ā€¦ well, someone else can word it, but itā€™s something. I guess the point is, you can buy ā€˜other thingsā€™ with that money instead of one month of game time, like youā€™re supposed to be able toā€¦

Limiting customerā€™s options is never wise, and I donā€™t really see what benefit -anyone- gets from this. It just angers the customers for no reason, it makes them not be able to buy 1 month for their friends, it makes a single card useless, since you canā€™t just buy it and use it and play, like you used to be able toā€¦ it makes it impossible to buy 3 months at a time, like I used to do.

Itā€™s a hot mess and I donā€™t get whose idea it was or why it was implemented. Itā€™s all digital anyway on their end, so there canā€™t be extra cost for having all these options.

Could Blizzard PLEASE give the one month purchasing option back? Itā€™s CLEAR that many customers really want it and would use it a lot, and Blizzard would make a lot of more money this way, and this would be better business for everyone.

Alsoā€¦ isnā€™t it good business to keep the customers happy, even if it costs a bit of extra? (Which it wouldnā€™t in this case)

Modern problems requires modern gold digging.

The problem with this is, you have to remember to do it after a month. How easy is it to forget something you wanted to remember a month ago?

What if your brain doesnā€™t remember things very well, (if you have ADHD or something) then youā€™re screwed.

Also, itā€™s extra effort, when previously you could just pay and play, now you have to pay, and play carefully and remember to ā€¦ yeah. Itā€™s not the same at all. Pay and forget is better than pay and have to remember or lose money.

Why do it after a month. You can do it immediately and you can still play for the entire month.

Besides, every device we own by now has a notification/reminder system we can use.

Actually you donā€™t need to remember for a month. You can, by all accounts, cancel the reoccurrence 5 minutes after purchasing the sub and youā€™ll still get the month you paid for.

That poor guy sent to the forums to post old news saying its now liveā€¦ if this is how they handle the basics of price changing nowonder the game is a mess!

Pretty sure if you dont login at the start of the next month they refund youā€¦

I already emailed them about freezing my time when i cant play and they said they would look at giving it back to meā€¦ i subbed for 6 month by accident as 6 month is the default and i timed out during a m+ā€¦

lmao I call lies on that one

Are you claiming for a fact that time cards will not be honored? My understanding is they are just being phased out. So any that are currently available from third party sellers will still work.

If they do that they are in a hell lot of trouble because thatā€™s not ok in any way and people could actually sue

Think what you want. If they donā€™t refund my time ill be pasting the email on these forums

Prepare your thread then because you dont get gametime refunds because you didnt cancel in time, or you ā€œaskedā€ for them to ā€œfreezeā€ your account, they dont do that

Well they do since he said he would do itā€¦ we will see in a couple months
