Barbershop is not just a change, its adding a retail feature into the game, are you really comparing that to fixing bugs and exploits?
Barber shop in itself is not a gamebreaking addition, but people dont want to open the door where retail features is added, cause where will that end?
Where on earth did you see me mention anything about a barbershop?! I am for a paid appearance change service outside the game, before you logged in.
And is adding wargames a fix for a bug or exploit? No it is a change. Which was welcomed by pretty much everyone, even the most die hard Vanilla fans.
Thereby, you can already change your own appearance with certain tools. The most well known Vanilla players use this on stream, and are they then being called out for going against ‘the no changes spirit of classic’? No, because is it literally affects nobody, but themselves to an extent that your appearance changes. So really, letting people redo their hair, or their earrings or whatever, trew a paid service, what is the big deal?
I assumed it was the barber, however apperance change is pretty much same thing, and its not something that is needed in this game. You knew there was no apperance change when you created the character, so you should have spent some time on it to make sure you would be happy with it.
And you are pretty much proving my point, cause “they added this thing, so you should add this feature that i like as well”
This point is purely irrational. Nothing can be justified by that reasoning. I used the argument with the wargames in order to prove that changes aren’t always bad, and that they are happening already, not to justify another change on itself.
People’s insights and preferences evolve. I wouldn’t change anything about this char, but I remember I was pretty unhappy with a character I made back in 2005 at the time.
Also it is not the same. A barbershop lets people change their character into whatever they feel like on a daily basis, there would a barbershop be an in-game change. This function should be paid imo, and only serve people that are truly annoyed by a choice they made 60 levels ago, and not something to mess around with on a daily basis like in wotlk. I would not be for a barbershop.
If blizzard keeps listening the game ideas from the community it will chance the game in to retail copy
