As quoted in the Dragonflight Level 60 Boost Clarifications post from Icy-Veins:
The Heroic Edition of Dragonflight comes with a Level 60 Boost. In this post, we clear up some questions surrounding the boost.
- The Base Edition of Dragonflight does not include a Level 60 Boost. You must purchase the Heroic or Epic Edition of the game to be granted a free boost.
- A separate Level 60 boost costs $60 or 60 EUR.
- The boost is granted to you immediately after pre-purchasing Dragonflight Heroic and above. You can use it now or save it for later.
- The boosted character will receive Item Level 148 gear and 3 weapons, 510 gold, 4x 22 slot bags, 280% flying, 10 Tomes to change your talents, 5 health and mana potions, 20x food that replenishes health and mana.
Now, it goes without saying that this is complete utter garbage.
Previous character level boost was the same, donât get me wrong, itâs not some kind of shocking news, but after all the drama going on with the company I thought that maybe theyâd rework the boosting service, given the disproportionated price.
I am literally paying âŹ/$1 per level just to have nothing else coming with the character, except some crap they actually give you as a sop.
Thereâs no catch-up with older content, and as older content I donât mean 1-2 expansion, but literally 7-8, and literally nothing to make up with all that gap.
All that money is not worth strictly the time to just obtain the amount of experience required to reach the level cap only, itâs worth way more than that.
Here is what an actual character boost, costing more than the base expansion itself alone, should include:
- FULL Item Level 300 gear, multiple sets and weapon choices according to specializations and required stats for full accessibility on every content, role and class flavour.
- 4x32 slot bags
- 310% flying speed training;
- 2x profession of choice capped in every field and expansion;
- All maps explored and all flight paths unlocked;
- Old content catch-up completion: unlocked Balance of Power and Artifact Weapon appearances (exclusing Mage Tower), unlocked all expansionsâ flight, full unlocked Garrison and Class Hall features, buildings, maxed out followersâ experience etc.
- Capped reputation or 50/100% bonus reputation gain for each previous expansion
When I pay, especially this much, for a character BOOST I want to be caught-up with all the previous content, I want to only worry about forward content.
Is it just me or that price is just insane for what we actually get?
Am I asking for too much?
What do you think?
