Character Level Boost is overpriced garbage

I’d not be able to play my favorite videogame then :frowning: .

30 euro’s is more then 2 months off gametime.
It’s alot.

Yes you asking too much.

Can I have a Budget loan to buy 6 boosts for my wow chars for the next expansion please.

What a load of tosh.
As for boosts, I didn’t understand why they were introduced and have never used one. The ones I’ve got from previous expansions are all sitting there. Wish I could cash them in for £60 each or whatever they’re worth.
I like to play my characters, level them myself. If you’re paying to play a game, why would you not want to play the game?

If someone has the daft notion that paying to not play a game they pay to play is a reasonable use of their disposable income, they should be allowed to pay even more. Just raise the price, there’s no need to add anything as the customers are already willing to pay for it anyway.

Hey now, that’s his thing. Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.

I don’t have much to add other than to ponder the point of this:

With Dragonflight these will be completely useless. :man_shrugging:

You need to be ilvl 420 before DF starts.
Otherwise you will be unable to play and have to wait for 11.0.

It do be like that.

I would not say its garbage, thjat would mean it does not offer anything valuable to players.

That said, i fully agree that its overpriced at least on players perspective. I know that i had bought many of those tokens allready if it was even half the price its now. That would be 25 euros here in Finland.

Considering how fast leveling is, its still overpriced at 25, but i think this is how low the company marketing could sell it if convinced it gives more moolah.

There is the developers point too, which i could imagine being that so high a price would actually discourage people from buying it. If its a high price, people will not buy it and that could be good considering population in different areas of game where leveling happens. Would we have enough player for group events if you do it on correct level or while scaling is on. Does enough people come to dungeons and so forth.

In any case, i think that half a price what it is now could be good compromise here. Then it would be in line with other services, it would be in line of still adding a valuable bonus to “better” editions of xpacks and it still would not make too many buy that and population would not suffer in different leveling aspects of the game.

Yes, you are asking for to much.

Here’s a novel idea, just because bliz offers the service, doesn’t mean you have to buy it.

Seems to me, the intent of a level boost has always been, and will always be, that you skip the levelling, and gets started on the max level story and all that entails with gearing, and it does that perfectly.

There might also be a small hint in the name of the service that is what it does “Level 60 Character Boost”

Is the price to high for what you get? I dont know, i’m gonna say no, despite what the forums might make it out as, blizzard aren’t so stupid to offer a service no one buys. So clearly the service has worth for some. Just because it doesn’t for you or me is really quite irrelevant.

After Dragonflight goes live… maybe. Very big maybe. But certainly NOT before all that you listed there. And even then. if Blizzard were to implement even half of it, I can only imagine the howls or outrage.

Sorry but far as I’m concerned, when you buy a boost you’re buying a boosted levelled character. Thats it.
