Character transfer from full server to full server?

It’s great news that Blizzard finally allowing for players to transfer their characters from full servers to low populated servers.

I was able to hook up with an old vanilla/TBC friend of mine couple days ago, but it turned out that we’re playing on different servers. He’s playing on Shazzrah and I’m playing on Gehennas, and from the look of it we cannot transfer our characters to the same serverl. (Shazzrah --> Dragonfang, Gehennas --> Earthshaker)

We both already have 30+ characters on our own servers, so starting from scratch just doesn’t sound appealing.

So I was wondering is it possible to transfer characters from a full server to another full server later down on the line, even if you have to pay for it?

Doubt it. They’ve said it’s a one-time thing. The only reason they are offering transfers from full to low servers now is for people who want small, to no queue times.
If there were no paid transfers in Vanilla, there will be none in Classic, because that’s what the people wanted.

Vanilla had paid transfers though.

That’s why I said “If there”, not “There were”. And I said I doubt it because support have already told people it won’t be a thing, but I wouldn’t exactly call that official, so who knows.
