Good afternoon,
When will you let us know if we can transfer our character from anniversary realms to classic era realms? We are almost at phase 6 and you haven’t given us any information yet. For many of us there’s no point in keep playing anniversary if we can’t transfer our characters to era, it just feels like a huge waste of time. So please, instead of once again gatekeeping the players for some extra profit, give us some information so we know what to expect and do with the current state of the game.

Likelihood is slim that they will allow these chars to be transfered to the era realms they might make new era realms from these though, we have dual spec and thats not in era, and they would ether have to remove one of your specs or introduce dual spec to era for it to work. The people on era would in all likelihood be against introduction of dual spec.

This is easy to remove from the characters; they just transfer in the spec they currently have.
But beside that point, I agree - I don’t think Blizzard will open up for transfers to Era unfortunately.

I don’t think this will be known up to tbc prepatch at least. Since they didn’t rejected possibility from release of anniversary there is little chance for paid transfers. But don’t except miracle.
I really hope they will open up transfers because I don’t know if I should continue to invest in my anniversary character or not.

From start I thought it was not worth it. Everything I read about anniversary only confirms it. And it will be even worse with tbc „58 level boost“

So blizzard would have almost killed era and now force those who have rolled on birthday to switch to bc? That would be really stupid of them!
I don’t see how this would be problematic, these are only minor changes easly removable, that would allow those who don’t care about bc to stay subscribed.
Did you expect less from modern blizzard?
The only thing I trust them on is that if there is money to be made, they won’t hesitate 
Force? You were told form launch that Anniversary PvP and PvE (but not HC) progressed to TBC - nobody forced you to play there, or told you that you could stay foerver in 1-60-land.

Easiest solution would be to just remove all ur talents when you transfer. I remember in 2006 when Frostmane opened and you could migrate there from Dragonmaw, after a server change talents where reset.
They had this system in place 19years ago and they surely have it in 2025.
Not giving the option to transfer Anniversary characters to ERA will be a huge money loss to Blizzard, I would pay 50euro for it and many others would do it aswell.

Why then did you roll on the Anniversary server in the first place. It was never a secret that it was to progress to TBC?

How many people actually play on ERA? If you start now are there enough people in the world? Enough people to do low level dungeons with? Do people still raid?

People are leveling, but you will not always find groups for dungeons. Most are max level. Raids do happen, but it’s mostly GDKP, unless you raid with a guild. BGs are omega dead.

This, before anniversary era realm were full of people all the day long, including leveling zone with fresh character.
Anniversary realm was terrible for era.

But anniversary will eventually go to TBC. So people will go back and play ERA surely, unless everyone likes TBC more than Vanilla.

Yes, I hope ERA becomes more alive after anni goes to TBC.
If you care to, try one of the Hardcore servers, people are constantly re-rolling and doing dungens there 
and you can transfer to the Era server when/if you die.

Yeah I’m currently playing on Anniversary HC with a friend. We’re taking out time going through it, it’s pretty fun.
