Hi guys. Yesterday I resubbed, after canceling my 6 months sub, two months ago, so now I wanted to choose a 1 month sub, but the 6 months one was highlighted and put first on the list, I chose it, realized my mistake, then went back and chose the right 1 month I was looking for. So, please, boys and girls, working at Blizzard, make the sub list in the right natural order, first 1 month, second 3 months, and third and last 6 months. Thanks.
no surrender your soul and money to bobby the devil buy that 6 month sub - Blizzard
6-month may have been at the top of the list as “best value”… or as the last option you chose before you cancelled.
It isn’t very nice of them, trying to trick their customers into subbing for 6 months. Very very sneaky and dishonest. Especially when the 30 days used to be where 180 days are now.
That is how much that they respect you and I mate.
It’s hardly a trick when it shows all three options available.
You could try contacting support and explaining your error and see if they can help you change the option. There is no guarantee this will work but there is no harm in trying.
I reckon it is because they moved it about. This behaviour has left a bad taste in peoples mouth. Nearly happened to me before I seen what I was nearly about to do. The only reason I almost did that is because I assumed I was buying 30 days.
I honestly can’t recall what order they were in years ago (I think they’ve used this model for some time) but I always check what I’m buying when spending IRL money. It’s better to double check than be saddled with a purchase you didn’t intend. Not all companies are good at giving you back your money if you made a mistake.
Or maybe people should simply read what they click. So no shop can ever move things because someone will click the old position out of habits and buy the wrong thing?
How about watching what you are clicking?Mh?
Yes I’m such a shill, I have special shill powers that allow me to see the differences when renewing:-
My magic shill ability allows me clearly see the difference in what is being offered.
We are all human, people make mistakes. I made a mistake with my OSRS subscription. I messed up, I thought I’d cancelled it when I hadn’t. I had to contact their support and explain my mistake. They were really nice about me, and gave me my money back as a one off, they could clearly see I had not logged on and hadn’t intended to carry on playing.
If you feel it’s a big conspiracy to have the subscriptions listed in the best price first order then that is fine. You can carry on with your outrage.
I like the best deals being most visible, it just means that I would have to go out of my way to pay more for my subscription.
Six month is best value. That’s why it’s at the top. It’s standard practice and not exclusive to WoW.
It depends on when you started your 6 month sub, OP and that you are not getting gametime and a Sub mixed up.
If you are within your 6 months SUB and change it to one months SUB then when it renews it will renew as a month SUB. If you bought 6 months gametime then you cannot buy 1 month gametime.
Yes! So do I. It nearly got me. It got some people I know and that made them not want to play anymore and they deleted their game because they felt so outraged. All this has me feeling bitter against blizz now. Now none of my RL play this anymore.
I bet these same people who chose the wrong option are the ones who cannot see the Report bug option ingame.
how about gametime cards? it is a good option too
As mentioned already it’s probaby because the 6 month sub is the best deal money wise so that’s why it’s first in the list. Don’t really see the big deal… just pay attention and there’s no problem.
Blaming Blizzard is easier though, I’ll agree on that part.
we should not rule it out as a possibility
But that would mean using their common sense.
Not gonna happen when you are trying to jump on a “boohoo big bad blizzard tricked me into giving them my money…”
No they didn’t. It would be illegal if they did, and because you(not you personally Bregastor) failed to read the webpage before clicking the button…
That’s not their problem.
Its like when people shriek on the forums about pre-orders.
No. Read the page. It clearly says PRE PURCHASE.
Not. PRE-ORDER.
I suggest you go look up the difference, and why it is important you know the difference between the two.
It got some people I know and that made them not want to play anymore and they deleted their game because they felt so outraged. All this has me feeling bitter against blizz now. Now none of my RL play this anymore.
Like I said. They failed to fully read the webpage and understand what would happen when they clicked the button.
That’s not Blizzard’s problem. That’s your friends problem. Blame them.
Yeah she sent the autographed photo to me by mistake.
Mine now buddy.
