I’m not very good at WoW despite playing a lot of PvP.
I’ve been playing elemental and marksmanship and I’m tired of being the main target in solo shuffle and 3s. I’ve gone a few games now without winning a round.
Please can you recommend a class or spec that usually isn’t the main kill target? Also, preferably one that has decent defensives.
I’m considering frost mage or destruction warlock.
Fury warrior since it outheals people’s burst , it has alot of mobility ,selfsustain , burst etc
Demo lock just does not die ,atleast thats what ive heard
Both are easy targets.
I recommend DH, outlaw rogue or fury warrior.
They are tanky and easy to play.
Im general casters will usually get focused so you should pick a melee if you dislike being the target
There isn’t a class or spec in game that doesn’t get focused by certain comps. Your best bet is not to change class, but to figure out what you are doing wrong.
You’ll only encounter the same problem over and over again and never get better at dealing with it.
Any random comp with a disarm can wreck fury warriors easily, its not like fury is a guaranteed win… they are just as vulnerable to tunneling as other specs and will get a 5% damage reduction nerf next reset.
Not trying to defend fury, I hate to play it but “half a healer” is a bit misleading.
More seriously though, while there isn’t a class immune to focus per say, there’s definitely preferable targets. I won’t spend time barely scratching a Warlock or healing a Fury Warrior when there’s a juicy Shaman sitting next to him. As a caster I’d rather not target a DK knowing the anti-magic shell is coming.
Hi! Shaman here. I’m not sure there will be any “juicy” targets left in PvP for you with how they’re balancing this game. Only melee, only immortals, only zugzug will be left. Solo is already dead/dying.
Just because you won’t run down a Lock doesn’t mean a melee cleave wouldn’t and just because you wouldn’t go the Warrior doesn’t mean an RMP won’t. Every class and spec is a target for something else. You’re basically just saying you’d pref to go a Shaman, when other classes may not.
