while good mages better than good any of others specs at 20-40%, we have same distance at every range.
I wouldn’t say it’s quite that large a gap but yes. You’ve got to remember when looking at logs that if the mage is doing massive aoe on huge numbers of sustained targets then the other DPS probably isn’t which makes the gap look bigger. As an sp for example I have a target cap of 8-10 so in brackenhide there are pulls where only the fire mage is doing any damage to the Lashers in 2nd area which lets them pad their overall.
Not saying fire doesn’t deserve the nerfs, it does, but there’s context to include when you start quoting wcl.
The ability to interact in a certain context is not an excuse, but rather another reason for a nerf. And as unholy i havn’t target limit, but still can’t do this damage. For timer dosn’t matter how big pulls u do. Just overall damage make sence. So if mage can do more, he can pass more, than everyone else.
And what people chase the 0,1%? 1-2% of the m+ scene?
All the arguments i see is the people pushing the highest keys possible when i’m see this being a good thing happening so the MAJORITY of players aren’t affected.
Who tf cares if you can’t push higher. Yeah sure, it sucks. I can see that. However, if you switched alts to get the highest possible timed key because of this god comp, effectively “exploiting”, and then get mad at blizzard that you can’t push higher with the same comp? Come on now.
Way worse if a much higher percentage of players can’t do 10-20 keys because of the meta instead of the 1-2% who can’t push higher because of this.

Who cares what you see on alts, I certainly dont and if you do not realize there are various class’s and specs that will out dps you in lower gear across all the class’s your rather dim.

Says the arcane mage with 400 keys across all the characters this season, and with probably more knowledge about this season that you had in all your previous seasons together.
Everybody showed proof is a busted spec, and then comes a level 50 warrior on forum, who probably underperform as a fire mage, coming to say Fire is not busted, and now they are nerfing his only way to do some decent dps.

Fire’s the best M+ dps in the game as of right now, it gets nerfs and honestly it’s probably still the best M+ dps spec in the game after them.

I think you forgot I got a nerf like 2 weeks ago. Didn’t come and cry here like a baby. Same happened in season 1, and I was still here saying that it’s a valid nerf.
I have also played arcane back in SL season 4, when it was last tier in terms of dps, and managed more than fine. Ah, also MM through BFA, when again it was latest in tier.
I don’t need a great spec to achieve a score, and clearly not coming here to cry a lot when they nerf a busted spec;)
Edit: Because you can only come and cry here, it’s clearly you have no idea what you talking about. So did a math on some logs I was able to find, especially in BH where this nerf will feel pretty well - It’s a 7.2-7.5% nerf on the overall damage. Now, in all the logs I was able to find, the difference between fire mage and the next class was between 10 and 15%. So come here, cry and state a “valid” opinion, when you didn’t even consider doing the math and see that you are wrong as hell. Dumb player

Dude, you can’t even write properly, i don’t know whether you’re legitimately unintelligent or trolling, but frankly it doesn’t really change much. Being a non native English speaker is also not an excuse, i am not native, maybe you should i don’t know, learn English properly, before coming into a forum where people mostly speak English?
I don’t wanna get back into that discussion anymore, i will make one last point. All that needed to be said was said, and prolonging the discussion, all it would serve is to repeat the same points over and over again in a circular manner.
The case has already been made, i made a point originally that was about dh not being that bad, and how these types of nerfs for fire mage and s priest worry me.
People took it personally, and started talking about how i shouldn’t speak about gameplay when my io score is around 2k, i provided evidence that i am likely a better player than all those people talking about my skill level, and how your 3k score is irrelevant in front on my actual performance, i also explained why i don’t really focus on improving my score, and all that you guys had to say about that was effectively: REEEEE!!
And that’s about it, you guys are unintelligent and frankly pretty annoying.

And we provided evidence that you are not, by showing you we actually know how to read a log and we can see the reasons you die. You pretend to be intelligent and good player, and yet you ignore this point in all your arguments. You don’t even say anything about this proof. You are all like :“uuu, i have 80 logs. look how goo I am”. When we tell you you die a lot to basic mechanics, and another dh comes and tell you are doing average damage, you still continue to say you are better player.

All the specs are doing 25s, or are able to.
But not dealing that amount of damage. As I said, check some logs from pro players, not your own, and you’ll see. Also the fact that people started to ask for fire mages from 18s, which has plenty of player base. But what would you know:-?
