The real and most important question
This isn’t ruining anything. In vanilla there was a 6 week gap between the introduction of the honor system and battlegrounds, and in classic its a 4 week gap instead.
If anything this fixes the significant issues facing many servers because we have completely overpopulated servers, this is a nice compromise.
Enjoy 100% WPvP while you can I guess.

World PvP will go back to normal small encounters. 1vs1, 2vs2, 1vs2 etc. No more mindless zerging. Now you have to actually be good at the game to win in PvP. How about that?

Wpvp has not begun yet. It will begin when BG’s come out. It’s then that people will start doing Wpvp only cuz its fun and cuz of faction pride. Atm its just a mindless honorgrind. You will actually start seeing real PvP in the world. Smaller encounters where skill matter more.

I really miss those long AVs. You could logout in the morning,go to work, and same AV was up when you login 10 hours later 
I was hoping i would see it again in Classic. Im very dissapointed, but happy they release BG.

Hi thanks for the fantastic news! May I ask if there is any public info about crossrealm battlegroups for EU? Would it be possible (and the best) to make one huge battlegroup for pvp servers together? At least for lower brackets for some intense fun.
