Totally agree with the topic starter. There was a topic on the same issues: Hey blizz, i know how to fix your game (honestly i do) - #30 by Flock-nethergarde-keep
FIRST
Get rid of world buffs in instances. Seriously, just do it. Sometimes you have to make bold and controversial decisions because it’s good for the health of the game. People will suck it up or leave. That’s fine. Do what is RIGHT for the game. Nobody stacked world buffs this way in Vanilla… wowlogs didn’t exist and people wiped so often, there was no point. And it was so much more fun that way. Buffs were never meant to be stacked this way. The content is a joke when everyone is running around juiced on steroids. It promotes a brutal min-max culture that is burning everyone out and is enthusiastically un-fun. It’s exhausting. Just get rid of them already. The game would be so much more fun without them and the content wouldn’t be such a joke. It would take more than 2 weeks to master a new raid which would give people more stuff to strive for in-between phases.
SECOND
STOP paid transfers. Unrestricted migration has decimated so many communities and created dead servers and mega servers. It has turned PvP realms into PvE realms. It has created SEVERE faction balance issues that has ruined economies and dashed any hopes for meaningful world pvp for so many. You promised when you released Classic that COMMUNITY would be your focus. I call bull. Transfers are DESTROYING communities and you don’t seem to care because they make you extra coin. I don’t care how much money it makes you. It’s bad for the long term health of the game and you know it. Get rid of them.
Instead, offer free transfers only as a way of balancing select servers and populations. Restrict and focus them heavily so they will produce the intended balances you need to keep communities and servers healthy and sustainable.
THIRD
Fix your faction balance already. The world of WARcraft only works when there is a war. 50/50 is unrealistic but 60/40 is totally doable. Hard cap all servers to 60/40 splits at all times with faction queue’s. Those who are stuck in queues can have free transfers to select realms (that you control) as a way to re-balance the servers and promote stability. Nobody likes faction queue’s but it’s the ONLY way to actually enforce balances that are sustainable. They will either suck it up, or leave. Do what’s right for the game. Those on realms such as Skeram and Stalagg will all have free transfers to appropriate realms so they can actually play. Seems like an aggressive solution doesn’t it? It is. But that’s what’s required now that you’ve let things get so out of hand. It’s your fault for letting it. get this way. Clean up this mess while you still can.
FORTH
Honestly, just release original AV. Current version sucks. Nobody likes it. Get rid of x-realm BGs too while you’re at it.
FIFTH
Make the content harder already! 1.12 client is just WAY so easy. I don’t care if you release an earlier client or simply just buff the raids, but these raids are so freakin’ easy they’re BORING. In vanilla, only a tiny portion of people ever even stepped foot in Naxx by the time TBC came out. Maybe that’s TOO hard but this is definitely worse. I don’t care how you do it, but make all raids like 25-40% harder. Make them mean something again. MC should be an accomplishment. BWL should be something you’re truly proud of and AQ should only be for organized guilds. Naxx is for the elite 10-15%. Not everyone is going to be able to clear it and you know what, that’s fine.
If everyone wins, winning is pointless.
