It seems that whatever update happened last night, it has broken/changed the Classic Era guild page interface.
The guild page is important to classic Era players as guilds form the backbone of our communities.
It appears to have moved over to the retail version or something.
Addons don’t seem to work now that we use to track changed to officer and character notes, macros for removing old/offline players to clean up the guild etc.
All officer notes have been wiped… which is where we store our DKP system standings.
In addition to this, the guild chat seems to have very high latency when compared to other chat channels/methods in the game.
Unfortunately it does seem to be intended since other features that were implemented and deemed as bugs were removed while there is absolutely no word from Blizzard about it.
The part that is very sad is that most people took this lightly and accepted this change. Some even said with irony that it doesn’t change your gameplay so why do you bother. Well, in that perspective Pet Battles and Transmog don’t affect your gameplay either, so why no have them in Era?
It’s annoying because I just bought 2 months of game time after a year away from the game because I missed classic, and I come back to see stuff like this.
I personally like it. Never was a fan of the classic guild tab. It lacked too much information and was clunky to navigate. However it’s not cool that it breaks crucial addons like the ones you mentioned.
This has a huge impact to established guilds that use things like CEPGP to track loot or have players that join and go offline for some time and we need to clean up the offline players.
it absolutely has an impact to how we play the game and our over 2years of guild looting, attendance, levelling, history.
We have raids scheduled tomorrow and currently we have no idea what’s going to happen when we start to distribute loot and how peoples points are going to be affected.
You don’t think addons are gonna get updated to fit the new layout? As for offline players, you can easily sort by how long people have been offline and kick people from there.
