As the title suggests, this latest update has wrecked the UI for most people.

Because Blizzard updated the client to the same API the Dragonflight client uses.
Just like they did when ToGC in Wrath launched.
Therefore some of the Lua functions are changed or deprecated and have to be replaced by the addon authors.
The UI bugs such as selecting “Dungeon Difficulty” or the “Show all spell ranks” checkbox are oversights from Blizzard.
I doubt they will fix the font size being large on some npcs or the fact that the font is bit thicker since the update because they didn’t in Wrath either.

I’m one of the lucky ones, the only thing that changed for me was my characters pane going from 87% to 90% in my Z-perl, but was easy to change back.
Nothing else changed for me.

One thing I did notice is that the options page was white. There hasn’t been an update to it yet.
I dont get why my characters Specpage shows role-option? What is its purpose, since we dont have RDF?
not only did they change UI (i can accept this tbf), but changing game mechanics… now thats what is the nail in the coffin.

There do seem to be stealth changes to BG maps, BG honor and dungeon lockouts. This is a major affront to the community that can erode all goodwill. They need to do a full list of ALL changes , and fast

Loved Era / Classic too much.
I’ve just logged into Era in preparation for tomorrow’s HC release to see what all the fuss is about. I’ve been part of the Classic community since the old P Server days so I know exactly what you guys are like for over exaggerating things…
But no, I completely agree. I don’t like this new interface at all. Disgusting, 1/10. Fire whoever designed it.

I logged in and wondered:
- Why has target of target been added?
- Why has the options tab been changed to a mock up of retail?
Then ofc as another poster mentioned it is obvious they have updated the API to the same as retail.
Some jumped up dev has decided to try to “streamline” / “fix” something THAT WASN’T BROKEN… ARHGHGHHHHHH

Ehm, we always had that in Classic, although I think you had to enable it. Cant remember how the classic options worked since I’ve been using Luna frames the past years.
And while ranting:
All those changes made almost every single addon fail. There must be alot of changes un the underlying API. So much for #NoChanges

It’s the same changes as you saw on HC PTR. People was unhappy about it there, but noone imagined it would also be pushed to Era. Most thought it was a PTR thing, at worst it would carry over to the HC servers. I got pretty bummed out, I really don’t like the new UI. It feels wrong and I have to look thoroughly to find every single setting.
