Classic ERA - Leveling

Hello all!

After watching some youtube video about someone starting ERA as a new player I’m hyped again.

My question is according to ironforge site the biggest server would be firemaw.

Is there actually still people leveling in ERA?

Or is it completely dead since TBC?

You cant entirely trust Ironforge.pro since the servers are bundled into two clusters (actually three but the third one is dead), so the Firemaw PvP cluster contains around 10 different realms.

The other populated cluster is the Pyrewood Village cluster which is a PvE cluster - so the main question is: do you want a PvP or a PvE server?

There are still people levelling, although the numbers aren’t great.

And more people leveling on the HC servers - with free transfer to Firemaw or Pyrewood when/if you die.

I just leveled 1-60 on horde which is the smaller faction 35% vs 65% and had no problem finding people for elite quests and dungeon runs. Short term seasonal servers like tbc come and go but era is always there and people always go back to it, its been out for 6 years and rend still pops on cd during day times cause theres so many fresh ppl always.

TBC is gone a few months from now but ERA will still be there 5 years from now, just like it was there 5 years ago. We are still thriving as always.

We Horde are outnumbered on every realm but you’ll still find people to do quests and dungeons with without issue.

Alliance have more options with healthy populations on the Firemaw Cluster and Pyrewood Village Cluster. The German Everlook cluster is decent for Alliance too.

Im still having a blast on era! Its a small, but still quite active and lively community. Theres always some people doing dungeons, leveling new chars up.

People are very chill, nice and helpful in my experience. Many there like this chill vibe and not the go-go rush experience.

Yes. Now it looks similar to the private server. If you are a PvP player and want to have fun in BGs, just don’t spend time on Era. The most popular action here in PVP is killing NPCs during Alterac Weekly and proposing to lose BG fast. Ofc, it’s only related to the alliance.

Choose Horde, don’t be a noob.

10?

This is proof that the game chat is dead in leveling locations, and since level 13, you’ll use the forum to find someone to play together:

When someone says that there are enough people in the leveling locations, just remember for somebody “enough“ is 2.

34 people were in Tanaris yesterday Sunday evening. 2 were in Hillsbrad today morning.

Which server?

And why specificly those two zones?

There are examples where I was. Firemawe
